I still think cyberpunk 2077 will be much more successful then death stranding .
CP2077 will release on 3 platforms, so it's very likely to be much more successful, financially speaking. As for the reception from critics, we're still waiting for hands impressions for both games.

^ We as in all the gameplay-first people out there :p
keep telling yourself that you might believe it one day :hah:

"Gameplay first" coming from someone hyping a game directed by a person who's body is 70% made of movies

It helps sells more of the hardware that it is attached to
USP helps sells hardware so overwhelming majority can buy not-so-USP like Call of Duty instead

lol MGS4 is the embodiment of his Twitter bio description. He's learned his lesson, as evident in MGSV. I'm hyping a game directed by an enlightened individual who's aware of the importance of gameplay :p

COD and the once in a blue moon Rockstar game are about the only multiplatform titles that top some of these USPs. Not bad, eh? :p

After Phantom Pain, it's safe to say Koji-pro has become muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better at game play since the MGS4 days.

Phantom Pain is still one of the best playing games with some of the tightest mechanics. Let's see how it translates to DS.

lol @ enlightened.

His head couldn't be farther up the industry's ass at this point

Ill repeat, keep telling yourself that maybe one day you will believe it

lol hiring movie/tv actors doesn't mean the game's going to be an elaborate series of cutscenes. It can be cinematic without losing focus on gameplay. The two aren't mutually exclusive :p

NPD keeps telling me that too, but some just don't want to believe it :hah:

Either way, someone whos body is 70% movies can only prioritise gameplay so much :hah:

Last I checked, the MGS series wasn't known for topping GoTY lists. But hey, "one hell of a competitive year", right?
Last I checked, MGS was the front-runner to win it all even before it was released despite not being "known for topping GoTY lists"

Expected results, but also well-deserved. Expecting Game of the Year 2015 to be a hard-fought contest between Fallout 4 and MGS V.
To your credit, it was a "hard-fought" contest, instead only for the third and fourth place

lol he was talking about MGSV being more gameplay focused than MGS4 (also what I was referring to :p).
lol i know. I was talking about a "too many lengthy conversations taking control away from me" focused Fallout 4 which won a hard-fought contest against "gameplay focused" MGSV :p

Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding Baby Prop Got Him Stopped at Customs

If you're all caught up on Death Stranding news, down for Hideo Kojima's general aesthetic, and overall interested in strange happenings in video games, you've likely seen the BB Pod. You know, the odd-looking, often orange-colored contraption seen in trailers and screenshots with what appears to be a baby inside. If you consider the BB Pod a little bit weird, apparently you're not alone. Kojima was apparently recently held up at customs after trying to bring a physical BB Pod to San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
This should please Necrokiller :hah:

Isn't there an option in Fallout 4 that lets you disable dialogue-cam and remain in first-person mode while retaining control of your character during conversations?

Lmao I thought it just a harmless statement, but they actually made a joke out of the "was recommended Keanu, but wanted Mads instead" thing during the SDCC panel (@ 04:25), and the audience was quite amused as well :hah:

Apparently, it was Refn who made the recommendation to Kojima.
