I need some suggestions and advice about opening up a gaming zone. I have already decided the place, basements are best for gaming zones so i have taken few adjacent shops in the basement. It will have both consoles as well as PCs. Which PCs should i buy?? They should be capable of running modern multi-player games. I have thought of Core 2 Quad with 4-6gb memory along with a decent gpu but i am not sure which one to buy and i guess 32" screens would be fine with them, no? Also which console? I am in favor of last gen consoles because of the huge library of games plus they are cheaper, and the consoles will be hooked to 40" screens.
Plus is there any way host lan gaming like the PC on which the game is served is a high end PC and others are just normal with mediocre graphics cards and all the computers are able to run a specific game or something like that. All types of suggestions are welcomed. And if anyone of you know about the UPS i need to run the whole system for minimum 2 hours.
Some quick questions:
*Which theme should i follow for the decoration, will 2 shades do fine?
*What PCs to buy?
*Which screens to buy? are 32" screens too large for PCs?
*I will be visiting the lounge weekly, how should i keep a check?
*Finally, the advertising?

Asalaam walikum. It seems you have insufficient knowledge regarding computer hardware in general. I suggest you get some knowledge before jumping into gaming zone business. Just a food for thought. Anyways best of luck.

This is exactly why he created that thread here, on a gaming forum.

If you can't contribute positively, don't bother posting.

So,i can mostly help you with the console part,
First of all, what's the budget and how much space do you have?
Go for i3,4gb, 22-27inch screen, mid end gpu of your choice for Pcs
For consoles, if you can, then get hold of 1 xbox 360, and 1 ps3 modded, after a while increase the number of consoles to 3 or 4 if your budget allows , Led suggested for consoles is a 1080p Samsung 40inch, don't go for a smart tv, just get the normal 1080p one.

Hassan - Have you gave thought to consoles? They are pretty cheap and useful in cases like these.
PC's just might go over the budget somehow.

I think you should start off with console because more library, cheaper games,4 people can play at once on one console ,less hassle to worry about hardware and software updates and ofcourse consoles are cheaper . Consoles would attract big parties while PC will attract people who play CS etc . That's just my opinion

Budget for each PC is 15-20k. I can get 2-3 normal sized shops which are adjacent to each other so space is not an issue

tell me one thing that how ur going to accommodate wapda for the users ??
Generator or probably ups will do fine.

People only play CS at most GZ's on PC. And for that purpose a 20inch LCD is more then sufficient. And if you can go for CRT's for pc gaming cause support for maximum hertz and no ghosting. I've been playing competitive for a decade now. I cant play CS on a lcd. Cause it requires atleast 100hz for optimum play. So unless your budget is so high that you can afford those fancy 120hz LCDs than go for those. Otherwise CRT's will do. Anyway about cpu Core 2 quad with 8 gigs of ram and a decent gpu will do.

P.S : I setup many GZ's over the decade. Saw many rise and many fall. So I'm telling you out of experience.

CS is wayy too old, i am thinking of at least mw3 and CRT monitors will look really out dated.

I said most people play CS. If you want newer games at your GZ. Go for a 20-22" LCDs. Anything above that will be overkill.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!
