Official Need for Speed: Shift (PC) Thread

I have about 120 stars, Tier 3 and Im really liking Shift now. Seems to have grown on me. Drifting becoms much easier with the keyboard once you get the hang of it. Currently Im owning Tier 3 cars with my level-3-upgraded 135i, which is teh car I started the game with.

installation error.

can anyone upload their Autorun.dat and Easetup.exe files??? When i try to run i get error. I think my these two files are corrupted.

Finally ended shift .. It was frikking easy :S I had all the assists off except for traction and ABS and was playing with manual transmission like in every other racing game that i play and on normal difficulty.

Did the 191.03 drivers and shift is running so much better now. I have it pretty much maxed out with shadows on medium and AA off and getting around 30 frames (previously I was getting like 17 frames).

Tried gaming with 3 person on hamachi with NFS SHIFT but could not get it connected even after troubleshooting all settings and NFS Patch 1.1. Any help ?

well i solved my graphics problem and i am loving the game. earlier i was playing on Win Xp. but now i have installed Win Vista and playing game on it with every thing at max and 2x AA on 1440x900 resolution and its running perfect no lag while in traffic nothing.

i thought games were slow in Vista.

and yes medium is reall easy, its the hard AI which makes you hate the game lol

Well the frames still go below 20 when their are too many on screen cars, esp at the start of race and when ever I change the shadow settings to med,low or off the game simple crashes when a race starts.

Btw hamachi is giving me issues for 3-4 days. You people should try leaf. Though win live games won't work on it because you need a registry override. There is one for gta iv though.

Played multiplayer today but I'm a beginner and don't have any good car. The other guy hosted and I joined to use his cars.
