Guys please don't clutter the "PC Games Releases" thread with discussions. Thats only for updates. You can post your screenshots, benchmarks, game progress and discuss whatever you want here.

Here are the official Minimum System Requirements:

Supported OS: Windows XP (Service Pack 3) or Windows Vista (Service Pack 1) / Windows 7
Processor – Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6 GHz or faster
RAM - XP: 1 GB RAM, Vista/Windows 7: 1.5 GB RAM
Hard Drive space – 6 GB minimum
DVD-ROM – 8x or faster DVD drive
Video Card – 256 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 3.0
Sound Card – DirectX 9.0c compatible
DirectX – DirectX 9.0c compatible
Online Multiplayer – 512 Kbps or faster; 2-12 Players

Supported Video Cards
ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB or greater
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT 256MB or greater.

Performance Estimation (from PCGH.com)
  • In our version of the game Nvidia's Geforce cards were running without problems, but AMD's Radeons were noticeably slower that usually. AMD is already aware of the problem and is working on optimizations for Shift.
  • Graphics card of the upper entry level like a Geforce 8800GT/512M is fast enough for maximal details at 1680 x 1050 pixels with 4x MSAA and 16:1 AF
  • For more than 40 fps at 1920 x 1200 with Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering you should at least have a model from the upper middle class like the Geforce GTX 260-216/896M or something better.

ATi guys will have to wait for better drivers.

I'm downloading it right now. Will post my views later. I have high hopes for this one though.

Yeah but the resolution and AA/AF requires you to have a better GPU for 60fps.

WOAH ! i was expecting the requirements to be WAYYY higher than this
Well these are MINIMUM. Recommended would be 9800GT/GTS 250 for full eye candy at upto 1680x1050. Above that you'll need GTx 260 or higher.

Almost finished downloading. Actually would've finished last night but... Ah anyways.

Looking forward to this game even though I don't like cars that get damaged. I didn't really give GRID a chance... I'll play this one more.

Guys i m getting low FPS on this game ughhh ...there are rumors that PC version FPS is locked?

1280X1024 everything on HIGH 2X 4X AF ...i get around 30-40fps.....man i get 60 smooth on bournout and grid.......

is this a low FPS game?

Graphics are good..controls are awful....i have to press the direction button HARD to get the car moving....i duno its an average game at the end of the day.....Burnout and GRID is still on top in every aspect when it comes to street and circuit racing.

No its not locked. The benchmark in the first post exceeds 60fps.

That control scheme adds the extra bit of realism (The cars feel slightly heavier) that was lacking in GRID. You're used to those games thats why these feel different to you. Shift is basically what ProStreet should have been in the first place.

Controls are fine if you have played GRID before and especially if you got the 360 controller.

Game is pretty good btw.

^Try updating the drivers then, if you haven't. The CPU might be holding back the performance a bit.

^yeah I was gonna ask Nomad to do that. You can PM him or other PC section Mods to do that for you.

Btw what kinda performance are you getting Maverick? I've been reading that performance isn't upto the mark with ATI cards.
