is not an anime either ?
When you generally refer to anime it means some animated series produced/directed from Japan solely, especially in a thread like this. Basically Japan owns the anime fanfare in a way.

Rick and Morty is in the same league as Futurama, Simpsons or Archer. But Rick and Morty is the best. It's the bee-*burps*st!

interesting...Alright I will move my fandoming to series section...but to my point it does seem very inspired by anime style..specially with the angular art style instead of a circular art style (like in futurama and simposons)

Can't discount any influences but it's still more in line with American-based animations. Japanese would freak out over the squibbly pupil animation in Rick and Morty. :p

I ain't a graphics expert but pokemon still looks very very very different than rick and morty. Even hagemaru seems good to me in front of that pic :s

Is this philosophical journey to define anime still going on? Here's a little bit of trivia that you guys probably already know, anime is short for animation. Japs say anime because they're the laziest fucks ever and abbreviate everything to 2 or 3 syllables, because they can't handle any more than that. Look at their names for a good example.

Though Japs call anything animated anime, while the rest of us gaijin fools call Jap cartoons anime. There is no difference. You all look retarded for even caring.

But first one is :S
winner winner chicken dinner.

so I've been watching Hunter x Hunter these days, the 2011 version and to my shock it's actually a really good shounen. I was under the impression they stopped making those. Really great characters and the arcs so far have been pretty interesting and the power-set and the explanations are pretty good too.

I liked HxH much more than naruto/fairy tail. The last arc was pretty stretched out but it was still good.
