if ua re gaming on a 17-19 inch monitor get the 512 mb version but if on a higer resolution get the 4650 1 gb
there are much better card available then 4650
the best in 6k would be a used 9600gso 9500gt
for 7k would ebt he 4670
so i would getting on theses then the 4650...

You should give complete details (e.g. resolution of gaming) next time.
As others have said, at lower resolution there will be hardly any difference between the two. But as you go up the resolutions, 1GB version will start gaining few extra frames per second.

Give your budget to get better suggestions..

You can also go for 9600GSO 384MB (available at CZone at 6.5K). The only problem could be the 6-pin connector required for it. Otherwise both (4670 and 9600GSO) recommend using 400W power supply.

4670 may not require you to buy a good power supply but its costlier than 9600GSO. 9600GSO on the other hand may need good branded power supply. If you plan to upgrade the graphics card (which I think you would) in the future, you definitely will be needing a better power supply. I will suggest to get a good power supply first and then think about the graphics card.
