i got a problem with my computer memory (ram)

Computer specs:
Board:Intel DH55HC
CPU:Intel core i3 530i 2.93Ghz
GPU:AMD HD 6790 DDR5 1Gb
RAM:Kingstone DDR3 1333bus 2Gbx2 (4Gb total)
OS:WINDOWS 7 Ultimate 64Bit
now when i open my computer properties i see

This is the problem {Installed Memory 4.00Gb (3.83Gb usable)}


So what should i do i some 1 have a answer plz help me step by step i'm a knid of noob.......!

Its not really a problem. Its totally fine.

I assume you are referring to 3.83GB Usable thing?

It may be because the Integrated GPU of your i3 is Still Active and your memory is Shared between the System & Integrated GPU.

Well you already have a dedicated GPU (6970) Installed, so Check & confirm if you have disabled the Onboard (i3's Integrated GPU). You can do this from your motherboard's BIOS.

i have tried this but nothing change 1st i thought this is beacuse of the GPU(6790) i have installed but when i removed the card the usable ram was 3.24gb......!

you are using windows 7...
windows 7 reserves a portion of your ram for its own use... it will never show you the exact amount of ram you have.

so your ram is not faulty its actually working quite fine....

and not to worry if you install any software or game that needs 4 gb ram it will not give you any problem

as you can see in my edit here are my system specs
my ram is also shared... its always like this so dont worry its all good

Thx bro maybe i was just too much worried well the thing was i have never seen this thin before i thought it was because of the Card that i have installed but after i have surfed on the Net i found out it's because i3 on a H55 board will reserve ram for the integrated video The 140 meg that is hardware reserved for video!
The only thing left to do is Look in the bios for a video reserved ram setting a lot of the H series do not have it but some do.
But any ways Thx lout u people.
