NEXUS 7 available at Homeshopping are manufactured batch of @ June,2013, Should I go ahead and buy? Also I opted for the 1 year Local Warranty option of HSN just to avail 7Days return policy.

From one source, they have August 2013 Manufactured Batch.

Kindly Share your views what should be done.

Also What other possible option in Tablets I can avail with budget of 30k.

you should go ahead as you have 7 days return policy when you recieve the device check it thoroughly and get satsified you can always get refund if anything you think isnt right

well I got s4 from homeshopping.pk, I was given 24 hrs replacement warranty. didn't opt for 7 days, I knew that 24 hrs will be enough for me to check everything, I don't trust their warranty services. s4 is though working perfect.

there is only one problem I faced with nexus 7 2013, it's very common and has hit more than half the devices. It's grounding issue. when placed on flat surface, it's touch is very annoying and sometimes won't even detect touch which are termed dead spaces. Google it and you would know, remaining its all good

To update you guys I bought two nexus 7 from Homeshopping, (manufacturing batch is OCT,2013)

They are working perfectly, only issue is I am unable to connect the tablets with pc. i.e its not shown as a drive in Explorer.

I am using Windows 8.1 64bits. I have gone through several forums and websites but till now no success.

Kindly share your experience if any one face this problem,

In device manager I get exclamation mark on "MTP USB device"

Thats the issue of windows 8 i also face the same issue what i did is manually selected ADB drivers and
using NON NEXUS 7 drivers

There's problem with my portable devices section. No matter what driver I choose that MTP USB Device remains with exclamation mark.

It might be driver corruption issue ?

Indeed its a driver issue you can try several methods suggested by xda forum members
someone suggested this you can give a try and let us know too
