Having used S3 for a while which my cousin bought... This time I feel S3 dominates One X... But his Experience after using an iPhone 4 was that S3 is Laggy and When he played Temple RUN on my Xperia Ray he said its not as smooth on his S3...

But S2 was never better than Sensation...:lips:
Hmm my friend bought S3 just 2 days back temple run is just as smooth as on iphone 4S it's basically locked 60FPS and due to the screen size it's certainly the best temple run experience I have had.

I must say though that the S3 has surprisingly low amount of free ram it was about 250MB on a fresh phone and once you install basic apps like facebook whatsapp etc you are left with even less. The home launcher and widgets can frequently refresh after exiting an app gotta say that was a bit disappointing. There is so much bloatware in S3 it really takes alot of resources. But then again HTC sense isnt halka either when it comes to bloatware. ^_^

Your friend probably has way too many things running in background it's just something you gotta manage in android no matter what the phone.

Now that disappoints me considering that it is samsung's 2012 flagship phone....they should have added 2 gigs or managed the 1 gb ram better..

Ya I guess you are right but mind you there was no lag or stutter. Get a galaxy nexus if you want bloatware free phone. (y)

there is no problem about ram so no one needs to worry... i have used it for a month and it is bloody smooth and zero stutter... and there are so many jellybean based cutom roms available that i hardly think there is any issue about anything... considering that the op has only 2 choices then s3 is just a blind buy... only a moron would buy oneX

free RAM is wasted RAM :) Although in any case touchwiz would still be a lot smoother than Sense.

Free ram is necessary bro ... I use my x10i to read pdf novels via adobe, during reading if sms pops in via gosms ,adobe reloads and some time and takes me to page from where I started, mean 50 or 60 pages back its really annoying ,i cant open 5 or more tabs in opera or dolphen but none of these problems appear on my xperia arc or xperia s

Go with the s3.... but do protect it with a case as it cracks easily... u have to be very careful with it as its very delicate... as many ppl have pointed out the real dealbreaker in the one x is the battery life and its non removable so no future proofing... ram is an issue in s3 but it aint that much of a problem if u put in a nice custom rom... i have the criskelo rom installed and its giving me a buttery smooth experience

I did a test. Opened up running services after 2 days of intense usage of the phone and it was showing just 65MB free ram. I immediately loaded up temple run and it ran just like before so obviously something immediately left room for it. (y)

Definitely go for ONE X, I have it and I was also confused b/w S3 and HOX. The screen is amazing. With new update 4.0.4, its even faster than S3 ( At least compaing Quadrant over 6000 on stock which is amazing). You cant see a pixel on the screen no matter what. And its rock solid, at least doesnt get cracked like S3. Who would wanna buy a 55K handset which cracks.
And on camera, seriously there is not much of a difference during daylight but in low light it crushes S3!
And on battery life, i easily put up a day no matter what! This set has the best standby time, i can easily get 3hrs screen on time with 2.5days of standby.

Bench marking doesnt prove anything, Nvidia gpus get twice the points with physx on compared to ATI gpus which doesn't make them better.
Secondly HTC cameras suck especially in low light due to excessive noise compression.

Never heard any Samsung phone crack :/

How the hell would Temple Run lag on a quad core phone when it is running smooth on a single core xperia ray( Which has far more lower specs as compared to S3). It is running smooth on my S3.
And S2 is definitely better than Sensation when plays games on it.

I was comparing apples to apples not apples to oranges. you can compare 4.0.4 ONE X with S3 in Quadrant, Antutu, CF-Bench, u name it, it leads the S3. I was just saying that, if u want a phone to show how fast it is (benches can tell u that), then HOX is the one to get! And set aside benchmarks, just compare the Tegra 3 optimized games, you'll surely see the difference!

black will hit UK in 4-6 weeks, that'll be a long wait for Pakistan at least. and local retailers will import it and sell it for a "total Rip you off" price
well places like homeshopping won't charge huge amounts... anyways... it is better to wait for the qualcomm quadcore s4 chipset which is on 28nm as that will rule the market in the last quarter of the year... oh well... you can always change the phone later...

The S3 crushes the one X in 3D benchmarks.....whereas in CPU and memory benchmarks they both trade blows.
