Salam to all PG members today I bring you the unboxing of a swiss brand MOVADO and the watch in particular is BOLD. I have known this brand for about 5 years now amd I have been following there calendograph, museum, bold and edge watches pretty closely and I had almost brought Movado Edge in the past but due to it's price i topped up the money and got the Tag Heuer. I am moving away from quartz movement and unless and until there's an exception to it I wouldn't bother buying any quartz watch again and this one right here is truly the exception. Those of you who are familiar with my collection would know I have many different dial, straps and color combos and I really wanted something in orange for quite some time even considered buying an orange seiko monster at some point and the moment I laid my eyes on it I was sold its a very beautiful time piece and sure the pictures dont do half the justice but still I have tried to capture how it behaves under light still didn't had the opportunity to wear it outside but i reckon the sunlight effect will look sublime on this.
Box:
Yes I want to talk about the box its of top notch quality especially the black watch box that contains the watch is very primium and can go head to head against boxes ofthe watches that are three times its price just simply amazing.
It looks like a dud in the pictures but trust me its one hell of an experience to unbox this piece.
Build:
Phenomenal is what would say the watch is build to last with brushed PVD steel case in the lower part and polished PVD around the bezel looks very attractive. I am not sure what kind of glass it has Sapphire would be better but I doubt it as its not written on the case back.
Bezel:
There's the orange bidirectional inside bezel which makes this watch really pop and one of the reasons I bought it. The bezel action is fine but its rough around the twelve hour mark which might get better as its rotated around for a bit
Strap:
Its a fine high quality rubber strap lets see how it reacts to the wrist once its on the whole day especially in summer for the record I also got the iWatch series 3 earlier this year never got to unbox it here though but its rupper strap got uncomfortable during summer so I hope this fares a bit better than that I love the texture though the watch looks just perfect with it I cant imagine it on a steel bracelet.
Price:
This retails for about 700$ i think in USA but jomashop and other grey markets are selling it well below that if you can get one around 400$ mark it would be a steal it oozes quality plus you get the swiss craftsmanship and quality quartz movement you cant go wrong.
Closing thoughts:
Its good enough to justify the price especially if you're looking for something in orange in particular it might not be suitable for a one watch guy who wears it throughout the year with different attires it plays well in a collection. My eye is on the prize for the next purchase and its going to blow others out of water feel sorry for my TAG alread lolz but Bremont will still be untouchable.
