:confused:

How do you know it is getting hot? Is it restarting? Which application are you using to monitor temperature? What are the temperatures at idle and under load?

Anyways

Have you overclocked your processor? If so, revert back to stock settings.

Set all voltage settings in bios to default.

Manage your cables so that they don't disrupt airflow in the casing.

Do you have fans in your casing for intake and exhaust? If not than immediately install at least one fan in the back for exhaust and one fan in front for intake. Also place an intake fan on the side of the casing.

If none of the above helps and you still get high temperatures than take it to the guy you bought it from and ask for a replacement.

Dank , Hamilton .
same here i dont know why !
can somebody recommend any software applications

for cpu gpu motherboard ,so i could monitor my pcies tempreture
didnt even overclocked yet .

shit i forgot to install stock fans .
will buy and install them tomorrow thanks for reminding nomad.

my casing is like everything is close to each other and thats making a mess .
do i need to get another casing coz its quite hard to manage cables in this casing .

Actually i want to know the maximum and recommended working temperature for this mobo mine idles around 40~48 and on load it sometimes reaches 55.

I m curious about the temperatures b/c PCprob's default threshold is 45, I have to manually set it to 55 in order to prevent it ringing

A small heatup problem ive noticed too if the heatsink is stuffed between a card n the cpu cooler.

Get a small fan on it (GPU fan from a cheap gfx card!) or a case fan pointing at the heatsink. The only time i got it heatup was without a fan running inside. Which it wud considering my CPU cooler and GPU were sandwiching it.

Mobo offically sucks.
Come again ....

Have you just started this thread to bring out your hatred and anger or do you really want a solution ? Be serious...

@supercop5000
Yes the temperature is going high. You'll have to make sure airflow inside the case is good. Do a quick Open Case check and see what are the temperatures then !

If it makes you guys feel any better, with E2160 running at 3.0Ghz, my motherboard temperatures has never gone above 42 C. And that's in load and stress !

@Ateq

I already did and there is barely any difference in temperature, I m using intel approved chassis with 1 front(intake), 1 back(exhausts) and an air duct fan blowing air on the processor with no GPU for now!!

btw God Bless You bro

@Kayani
It is intel chipset man that is actually cooking.

Why is a fan blowing air on your Processor, which itself is trying to blow hot air off the heatsink ?

Steps:
1. Install one more intake fan, somewhere at the bottom. This will force cool air from the bottom to travel upwards inside the case and push the hot air being exhausted into the case from the HSF outside towards the exhaust fan that you have installed...

2. Remove the duct fan, or better make it exhaust, it will take the hot-air from the HSF directly out of the case.

3. Check the Northbridge Heatsink, is it firmly seated ?

btw God Bless You bro
Thanks, and God bless us all !

I did this a/c to this guide:
Chassis Air Guide Design Guide, Version 1.1, September 2003
Kindly review page 9(Chassis air guide typical air flow pattern) and comment.

1. Install one more intake fan, somewhere at the bottom.
There is no room for another fan at the front side!!

3. Check the Northbridge Heatsink, is it firmly seated ?
I dont know I've never done this before, it seems ok by just looking at it, and frankly i m just too afraid of touching the north bridge w/o proper knowledge

Hhmm, I have read page 9, first it doesnt say anything about a fan on the duct, its just an open duct, more clearly shown in the next page. Secondly, it is stated

[last line first para]
"The processor heatsink fan combination is now able to draw air outside directly and remains a vital part of processor cooling."

Dont worry about the chip, just make sure you discharge your hand from electro-static charges by holding the unpainted part of the chassis, the inside. And then check the heatsink, and besides you wont be touching the chip ...

There is no room for another fan at the front side!!
And is there even an open area in the front ? If things stay bad like this, you could change your case to a better one.

Well, i came from the P4-HT age... So i got this OK-looking casing with crappy cooling/air-flow.
My mobo went upto 46 on idle. PC Probe would sound its alarm (i dont use it in the background, just ran it to check).

What did i do?
I tore the casing apart. Cut out the bottom (HDD) slots, and put in a 120mm fan there. It blows air at the mobo.
My mobo hardly goes above 35 now.

My Processor temps still suck. But i'll get AS for that.

its a little bit confusing b/c the original statement is "able to draw outside air directly",
also in the air flow diagram air duct is drawing air inside!
and about the air duct fan thing it was shipped like that.

And is there even an open area in the front ? If things stay bad like this, you could change your case to a better one.
Yes there is, but not at front it is at the bottom side just as shown in the diagram.

And I've checked the north bridge heatsink it seems that it is secured but i think that air flow is blocked by the huge dominator ram.

@ASKnASK
thanks for the suggestion mate i'll look forward to it.

Hhmm, confusing indeed :). And the diagram shows the arrow going inside, yes I see.

Then there is only one solution left, spot cooling. Try to find old P3 fans, that you should be able to mount on top of the NB heatsink. With the help of paper clips, the ones which curled ovally. Or just simple use the handy Nylon Cable ties. It will fix it tight !

If that is not possible then you'll have to do some work on this case....

^ lol i remember a better one suggested by one of our friend Sir Ahsan. Get a Pedistal fan face it towards the PC and put the lid open here u go no heatup problem no rpm dropouts

So I was getting confused about the Intel HSF as I always thought it was blowing air off the heatsink. I pulled out my old P4 HSF and plugged it in, and found out that it is pushing air on and through the heatsink to all sides !

So I was wrong there, and yes the guide is correct, the air is actually going inside the case from the duct and then being spread through the fins !

But I still think it would have been better if the CPU fan was simply throwing the air off the heatsink :)

But probably the design works better that way....
