LG Optimus G users, how to flash kitkat 4.4.2 on f180?

@Cerberus , yes i got OTA KK update but installed sling 2.2, it was better than stock except factory reset issue. However, Korean rom does not allow you to make video call and gives "not available while roaming". Other custom roms don't have video call option. And yeah, all international mobiles have this option.of course, I have tested simple Nokia on 3G for video call.

Bro I m talking about video call provided by network (mobilink , zong etc) like voice call. You can dial number to make video call on your network without any such app.

Weird,, this issue was in stock Korean but Sphinx / Sling / VDT rom fixed and 111 can be dialed. For video call.. you go to contacts and select any contact.. There with number, you have dialer (for voice call), message icon for sms, and another option "video call". This option is available in Korean stock but it cannot dial and gives roaming error in KK. JB was fine I guess. Whereas custom roms dont have video call option.

Ok I will try that on my f240 and e970 and see if its working on the att e970 when in ISB next , I have used both SphinX Rom and by RadeonMaya on F240L.. I cant dial 111, I think L versions are in true essence L

One of my friend got F160L and yea he had this issue but it was resolved after custom rom... don't know wats wrong with ur G pro..

Yeah, I installed Hong Kong stock V20a KDZ (4.4.2) recently released officially. After installing kdz, root it and flash F180L Baseband of 4.4.2 and you are good to go. Without flashing baseband, you won't get network.

P.S. I found sling 2.2.2 better than stock due to 1. Better keyboard, 2. Knock off feather, 3. network speed on status bar etc. However, its up to you whatever you like.

Yea I was not even on stock.. I was on Sling 2.2.2 and flashed e975 kdz. However, it is better you take backup of your EFS partitions via freegee or any other tool. After that, flash Hong Kong KDZ from here

My suggestion is... Sling 2.2.2 is better than Stock And i went back to it after testing E975 4.4.2.

Its zip file. Just flash e975 kdz, root and install CWM recovery via freegee / any other method and flash baseband zip in recovery. Reboot

Dear you must install e975 stock kdz and then custom rom of e975 otherwise your set will hang at LG logo. Make sure you charge 100% battery before doing that, coz if it did not work, you have to flash stock f180l kdz again so you need to ensure battery is charged. And you need to install f180l baseband on every e975 rom.

One more thing, you must take EFS backup on stock f180l before doing all that and save it in your laptop or PC.

Eid Mubarak.. Plz download following zip and extract in PC.

Dev-Host - Root_G_Pro_KitKat.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

Install LG Drivers
Enable USB Debugging
Connect to PC, select LG Software
Click Run.bat file from above extracted folder. Set will boot and it will go into Stock Recovery of LG
Choose option "apply update from ADB" (Navigate using volume keys, and select Apply update from ADB by pressing power button)
Keep pressing any button on run.bat screeen. (It will say press any key to continue so you have to press 2 or 3 times, this screen will disappear.
Now you can remove cable from your mobile and reboot it. It will be rooted.
