Actually, I'd say this is the actual way you should do it.

Rs 21,000 - Rs 5,000
= Rs 16,000 (Why would you add the advance to the amount? You get that right away, don't you?)

On the Rs 16,000, 16% interest PER YEAR would translate to:

Rs 16,000 *16/100 *6/12 (You're getting repaid in SIX months, it would be improper to charge interest for 12 months)
=Rs 1,280

So, total payable should be Rs 17,280

Over six monthly installments, it should be Rs 2,880 per installment.

Other than that, I think it's an awesome idea, and would be interested in availing it myself.

Thats not the correct way to calculate 16% on anual basis since Junaid is not giving you money to buy a console, he's actually buying console from a market and selling it to you and if its a question of riba/interest let me clear it will not be called interest in this case it will be called Murabaha in islamic mode of commodity financing in simple words cost based profit system, where seller is selling his own commodity with his desired price, its upto buyer if he's willing to buy it or not.

well there are manythings that can be suggested here but since this thread is poll based to offer installement services or not and I am 100% with it.. sometimes gamers like me who are even earning good amount on monthly basis can not afford to buy games and consoles even.

@Junaid: Idea is super meray bhai but 16% thoora sa ziyada hai I can suggest you to make 2 offers if you are willing to provide this kind of awesome service to us.

1 - keep the % a bit low for new consoles (your choice)
2 - put 16% on used consoles.

I vote "yes" This can give gaming the push it needs.. What do you know, maybe gaming zones start getting these consoles on installments so they wont have to pay a huge amount at the first hit.. Great Idea.. This can also (if gaming zones support my idea) give birth to LAN based console gaming sector in gaming zones.. Sure expensive BUT VERY POPULAR

good idea and only sell the consoles to only educated guys (students) not everyone so the wassooli will be more easier and yeh if you are starting this service i gonna get a x360 too

Recovery is the only problem I can see in this. But if you are sure that it won't be a problem than by all means go for it

This offer is good for students. Most of the guys buying from you would be minors and won't be able to enter into any contract. Would you deal with their parents?
And you are selling X360. What if somebody gets an RROD? Parents will say" Bhai tum ne kharab cheez de hai. Yeh wapis kar lo or sahi wala do agar paise lene hain to" :lol:

junaid bhai just do what im recommending which is keep your clientele limited to those who have a good rep on forum as well as traders like evil racer for instance is a well known member of the forum i would gladly give him an installment if i were you because he is an active and participating member on the forum who is favorable to the people, and people like me who have worked ever so hard for a good trader rep should be considered for this service =p i mean im not a big guy like you who does dealings every day but i have 19 positive feedbacks with little or no complaints =D

long story short
sell console to

1. people with regular posting on forum

2. people with good trader rep

3. people with x number of posts ( like 500, 1000 etc )

4. someone who you KNOW is not a cheat or a scammer because you have never taken action against them for fraud or anything else

5. you can ask for a slightly bigger advance / security deposit like 5k + 1st month installment in advance and a copy of the persons NIC incase they turn out to be a fraud

just keep your deals to the adults otherwise who will be responsible for the kids? suppose you sell a console to a 15 year old kid and he doesnt tell his parents 2-3 months down the lane he says i bought the xbox behind my parents back and now they found out and now they wont give me more money to pay you, what will you do then? atleast with an 18 year old you can ask for an NIC and if he refuses to pay you can take serious action against him.

for now keep it to adults and later on move on to teens and stuff

i would suggest u if u will deal wid kids or under 18 people ,u shud consult dere adults b4 selling dem consoles nd dis will be a safe idea nd for people over 18 u can take dere NIC copy nd other details ,if u start dis service even i will buy a console 4m u even i dun lyk to game on consoles ,as u pay in monthly installments it doesnt feel dat u ave spent aloot of money as u pay in small installmens nd on da interest u r chraging in my view is ok cuz u r investing 21k nd getting dem bak in 6 month period !!!!sooo best of luck for ur service
