Total Cost of console is 21000 For Un-Mod ( Right Now Talking About Xbox - 360 )

21,000
+3,360
----------
24,360 Rupees

Minimum Amount to start is 5000 As Advance....

Rps 21,000 x 16 percent = Rps 3,360 = Rps 24,360 ( I. E unmod )

Rps 24,360 - Advance ( 5000 ) = Rps 19,360 Remaining Balance

Rps 19,360 / 6 ( Months Installments ) = Rps 3,226 Per month....
Actually, I'd say this is the actual way you should do it.

Rs 21,000 - Rs 5,000
= Rs 16,000 (Why would you add the advance to the amount? You get that right away, don't you?)

On the Rs 16,000, 16% interest PER YEAR would translate to:

Rs 16,000 *16/100 *6/12 (You're getting repaid in SIX months, it would be improper to charge interest for 12 months)
=Rs 1,280

So, total payable should be Rs 17,280

Over six monthly installments, it should be Rs 2,880 per installment.

Just saying!

Other than that, I think it's an awesome idea, and would be interested in availing it myself.

Sounds like a good idea. But will this service be limited to just a certain few members whom you know or will it be for everyone? I don't think you can trust any stranger that he'll faithfully deposit the installment.....unless you have a team of gundas on standby like banks to get the money by force :p

Mofo, it's not PER YEAR...I'm not even sure if it can be classified as Interest

it's just...extra

I agree with BAD MOFO......

The interest should be charged on amount after accounting for the advance.
That way, if someone is willing to pay AN EXTRA AMOUNT OF ADVANCE, he will be charged less......

Another suggestion would be to lower the Interest for 3 months settlement (Suggestion: 9%). It will be attractive that way...

@jshak
Recovery is the only problem I can see in this. But if you are sure that it won't be a problem than by all means go for it :)

This offer is good for students. Most of the guys buying from you would be minors and won't be able to enter into any contract. Would you deal with their parents?
And you are selling X360. What if somebody gets an RROD? Parents will say" Bhai tum ne kharab cheez de hai. Yeh wapis kar lo or sahi wala do agar paise lene hain to"

giv installments to members having posts above than 1500.
rate should b around 10% and also it can be 3months.
recovery issue can be resolved if u giv a person who has 1500 posts and has met in meet-up.
baqee i think junaid bhai ko ditch karna asaan nahi hai..lols
if person didnt MODED the console than its microsoft.sony responisibilty for RROD/YLOD and if he has moded than its his own responisiblity,it should b in terms of condition

other things bieng equal,as i said it its allowed(lemme consult some scholors) then i m grabing PS3 man....

jshak i highly recommend you only give this to exclusive PG members like old members, members with 1000+ posts, good repute and are well known around the forum because if you hand it to every person with 100 or 500 posts there will be a very high chance of getting scammers, i have yet to see a scammer on pg with 1000+ posts the idea is absolutely brilliant and if you do implement this i am 100% sure you will not regret doing this

Thanks Nomad bhai!

About recovery; offer it to people who already have a bank account. Take 6 cheques from the buyer; date them one month apart (example 27th April, 2010, 27th May, 2010 and so on). People are legally obliged to cash all cheques that they make.

About RROD; have a service agreement. I think it's a must. You can state the information about the cheques and the fact that RROD is NOT covered in the warranty.

jaspers haven' RROD'd my friend has been playing his jasper for a long time now he bought it 3 months back and since then he has been hooked on xbox live playing mw2 for like 5 hours on end and 3 months later still no rrod =/ and PS3 slim cant exactly rrod can it?

and what about ppl who don't have cheque books? i have a bank account but only with a visa debit card, just keep the deal strictly to 18 year olds with good rep (trader and forum) and 1000 posts and your chances of fraud will be reduced to nothing thats how i would do it anyways, i would run a through background check on anyone i sell a console to on installments

Yup I was gonna say the same thing. When he's taking 5k ADVANCE, then there should be interest only on the remaining amount. your calculation is perfect. Though i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be the same if you were selling :p

Yup. BAD BAD idea. Not trying to discourage you or anything, but this is PAKISTANIS we're dealing with. And secondly, what if the guy you sell to is an even bigger 'Gunda' or w/e than you ? And even if you do catch him, it won't be worth all the hassle for just a measly 2 to 3000 rupees. I know many people here are gonna like this idea, but guys, just put yourself in his shoes, and then think. Would you really go through all the hassle even if you CAN get your money back ?

and now consoles arent even that expensive what 30 k max ? I don't think there's any need of providing them on installments a person who wants them can simply save for a few months and buy it himself from the PG store... again I am gonna say and you probably know better how pakis roll and trust me you don't wanna get into the hassle.....
