HTC EVO 3D Question

Hey guys just bought this cell phone...How can i disable its screen going blank..I have to press the button on the top for turning on the display....

why do you even need the screen to stay continuously on ? that's like going to swallow whole of your battery on a Android device especially the EVO 3D.

you can always increase the screen timeout in the display settings though.

yes you can, there is a option to never turn off.

i have to press the button a 100 times in a day....seems like its gona break soon...

never turn off keeps the keypad unlocked tooo....but i want to lock the keypad

^so you want the lights on the buttons off but the screen on ? for that you need to root your phone and install a mod that allows you do to that(if available for your phone)but your battery wont last more than a hour with the screen continuously on.

and if you think you are going to break your power button then again you can root your phone and install a volume button wake mod that allows you to use your volume button to wake up the phone.

@OP... you have two options..

without Root:
install widget locker 2.1.. you have to sacrifice your sense lock screen. in widget locker application you can set it to wakeup screen with volume buttons

with root: if your mobile is not in warranty, unlock bootloader and install my mod for wake up screen with volume buttons...
with root you won't have to sacrifice your sense lock screen...


For locking the screen install Screen locker widget from android market... this combined will spare your power button fully...

thanks guys! actually i was looking for something to lock and unlock both on touch screen which is convenient and saving buttons at the same time...which is guess is not possible

name the widget locker.....i tried one....you can lock on touch screen but to unlock it u have to press button...

Widget Locker is itself application... Its not free so you have to download it from Mobilism site...
