Hi, can somebody please advise on how many subjects to take in O Levels? Does it help taking more than required? I'd greatly appreciate the advice, thanks

if you are going for A-levels or studying abroad then it does help a bit but in the end its the grades you score and not the number of subjects. That being said, students with 8A's are dime a dozen now and many A levels institutes like LGS will obviously prefer 12As over 8, and there is no shortage of 12A kids.
So my opinion is to go for atleast 9 subjects, but make sure you can score an A in them. The more the merrier but dont go all nerd and shit and take on 15-20 subjects which will ultimately end up burning you out and you gotta save the energy for the nightmare that is A levels.
Another thing, if you are giving all the subjects in one exam session, try to stay at 8 or 9 and dont go above that. Paper clashes will ruin your life

Karachi.
At least 9. But you can also pick 10 (additional one being Stats/Psychology/Economics/Bio/Comp/AddMaths if you are Engineering student, and Computers/AddMaths/Stats if you are business student. There is no limit to picking subjects. For ease, I am recommending that you pick 10.

One thing more: If you have a lot of subjects, try to give them in least possible number of sessions. Don't give them like 2 papers in summers, 2 in winter, 2 in next summer, 3 in next winter etc.

Why on earth would you want more then 8subjects in your olevels? Just go with 8 and instead giving more subjects prepare for sat if you wanna go abroad, its really sad to see many alevels schools are acting like universities with strict criteria.
My advice is take minimum subject in olevels and as fir3dd3mon said, make sure you can ace them. The olevels era will never come back, its one of the best time one student can have, course is really easy to study, you can easily get As with minimum preperartion so make sure you dont burden yourself with extra subjects.

Ain't it the case that now there are lots and lots of students with 8 subjects and all A's, and as said above there are even a lot of 12A kids, any more inputs please ??

Do note its the A's(actually A*s) everybody is talking about, not the number of subjects(. So you must keep this in your mind while deciding.

Why you take O-levels? for A-levels. 8A*'s can get you in pretty much any school you want. Why you take A-levels? to get into a university of your liking. 4A*s can get you pretty much anywhere. After 4 A*s, a 5th or more A* doesn't contribute as much as other things. For example, SAT scores/Entrance test scores/MCAT, proof of activities that show you are really into your field, letters of recommendation, personal statement, interview etc.

Now I'm not saying getting more A's wouldn't help, because it would really. But there are things that would help your application more than just a greater number of A's(for example a bad interview can guarantee rejection, no matter what else you have on your application) . But if you are sure you are willing to put some extra effort, then go for it by all means. Its just that quite a lot of people plan, but are not ready to go through it.

Its not the number of subjects but the versatility you show. Take as many as you want but the sheer number might not help. Instead take something that differs from your other subjects, for instance if you're a science subject then take computing or a business subject. I took economics and addmaths in my olevels and it really helped also it helps you build perspective for your university choices.
Also i'd recommend taking Additional Mathematics in O Levels, i took it in O Levels and topped in Pakistan (i love mentioning that XD) and the subject helped me tons in A Levels because Add Maths is almost 75 percent A Level maths, i almost took no maths classes in A Levels :D
The rest is up to you. It's not the number but the subjects themselves and what they might mean to the university you're applying for.

Online session is enabled for UBL. I have an active subscription with my NayaPay card (it is already added to Google Payment Methods).

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
