Homeshopping - Fraud at its finest

I have tried homeshopping.pk a number of times and never had any issue. Bought 50-60k worth cell phones several times, all good. What happened now I don't know, but honestly I think they do not mean to deceive anybody intentionally.
I have also purchased phones and tablets before, I did not seem to have a problem with them either. Although, I can remember someone of this field telling me that Homeshopping does indeed repacks stuff and provides used phones, etc. Frankly speaking, now I have no reason to doubt it, I mean I can tell if a laptop is used, but a good scratchless phone or tablet? I can't.

I also thought that they might be innocent, but that's very unlikely.

I will probably never order from them again but if you didn't have a problem, go with it.

Cheers.

I just bought 15 to 16 different items from online.. Never seen them opened previously or used. My experience is good! :) However, they all have return policy so use them :))

Update:

So I had a flight on 23rd September to Istanbul and they promised to refund me the money before that. However, as expected that time has passed and I had to delay my flight and I'm still waiting.

Just a note to future buyers, do not trust their words ever or you'll be in my position.

Thank you.

Had the same issue with PAKLAP when I bought a Lenovo y700 from their store in techno city last year. Laptop had some other models cd in the box. External CD Drive which is supposed to come with the laptop in the box was missing.
Furthermore scratches on the sides near ports and charger.
Despite that they insisted it was new and I will have to accept it because "you registered the windows in your name sir and opened the box sir".

Grudgingly I took it home. Noticed that when moving the display hinge even slightly resulted in the display turning off.
Took it back the next day. They made me wait more than 2 hours while they "checked" the problem. After which they refused to supply a replacement / refund saying "it was working fine when we turned it on for the 2 mins to show it to you in the shop". Anyways after some shouting and threats, they refunded me the money minus 20k.

Next stop: the laptop world on zamzama. Bought a dell xps 13 from him. Guy tried to be all smooth and such. Brings me a laptop, opens up the box and we are greeted by a ton of smudges on the keyboard and the touch pad. He claims its normal cause his technicians check all laptops that arrive in his shop and I should not worry. After which i point to the scratches on the metal on the side which he pretends are only there cause "customs opens up the box on arrival in pakistan". I refuse to accept such a product so he brings me another "this one is 100% dabba pack sir". We open it up, no smudges but tons of scratches on the sides like before. He then changes his story and claims they are there because "sir every laptop is opened up by customs and thats why they are there". By that time I am sick of it all and just bought the laptop as I needed it for work.

Upon arrival at home I inspect it further and using some battery and hdd tools, I find out that the laptop is more than 650 hours used along with roughly 588 GB of data having being written, erased, re written on the laptop. The laptop had an SSD of 256 GB, so having more than twice the amount written on it made it obvious as to how much it was used.

Next day I call him, he refuses to acknowledge the problem, tries to smooth talk me that sir you are blabla busy man, must have work / business to get to. Why are you giving yourself tension over a laptop. Its brand new dont worry. I am not like the cheats in techno city, and you should just enjoy your laptop.
Few more complaints and protests lead to him not acknowledging the problem saying that softwares can give faulty results of laptop power cycles / usage / hdd usage and aren't 100 % accurate. So i give up. However as i kept using the laptop i realised it had massive issues such as CPU temps being a constant 90+ when running even 1 single chrome tab or any media player. Eventually sold it for a HUGE loss.

On one of my visits to him to complain about the laptop I find a rider from PAKLAP coming to his shop to collect some laptops. I of course asked him about it that if he supplies PAKLAP / they him. Upon which he got very shifty and tried to tell me; no no they aren't my suppliers, just I bought 3 semi-new laptops from some old couple, turns out they had bought them from paklap on cheques which bounced. PAKLAP gave the THREE LAPTOPS at the SAME time to the couple without the cheques being cleared first (Lol yea right). Now paklap is claiming the laptops are stolen and somehow they found out that the couple sold them to me cause after the cheques bounced they got the police involved and the couple told them they had sold the laptops to laptop world Zamzama. Now paklap wants the laptops back from him but he wants them to pay him as he purchased them from the couple.
Big lol and I realised that they are all fraudsters, liars and probably thieves as his story was way too far fetched + he seemed really shifty.
At that point I gave up and decided to never buy a laptop from our local market.

TLDR : 3 High end laptops purchased in Pakistan from local market - all faulty, damaged and 100% used / repaired / refurbished.

We need to tarnish the name of PakLap since they are defrauding customers. I've seen their ads on Facebook and it makes them look legit. Please post your PakLap experiences on Scam Updates PK Public Group | Facebook

Quite an interesting turn of events when you mentioned the PakLap rider being at that guys shop.

I recently ordered from PakLap after hearing some good things about them, and I can say the experience was pretty good and hassle free. I hate the fact that they use Leopards Courier, but other than that, no issues.

They had the Inspiron 7567 available cheaper than most other places, so I ordered it with paying 10% advance and the rest on COD, and I then butchered the ears of the Leopards Call Center guys to have it delivered ASAP and they surprisingly did, at 9:30 at night, which I didn't mind, I told them I'd sign for it even if it was delivered at 4 in the morning.

Anyway, the guy who delivered it seemed so care free, he let me open the box without taking prior payment, he was just on the phone with someone the entire time, yelling away in punjabi, while I sat on the cold driveway ripping the box apart, to find a pristine, absolutely brand spanking new shiny ass Inspiron lying there wrapped in it's protective packaging and shit, opened it, turned it on, legit Windows, everything seemed to be in working order, I paid the guy and he went on his way.

Later, while doing a BIOS update, I booted into BIOS to see the status and it seemed perfectly fine, nothing abnormal, no signs of prior usage, battery health is excellent, and battery life isn't too bad either. Moreover, there are no signs of it being used or scratched or anything like that, it was actually new.

I'm happy with the experience that I had, no complaints.

HomeShopping on the other hand, after that one incident, has stopped being my go-to online store for most stuff after they pulled some really ugly shit back in 2015.
