So why didnt you argue that you have warranty and they should do something about it? You shouldnt expect any business to offer you costly service themselves if you dont demand it.
I had a warranty issue with homeshopping with my xperia play. At first they asked for money as they argued something had broke inside the phone and there is no warranty for something breaking. I stuck to myself, didnt agree to pay and they agreed to fix it without any cost. What happened then was that they couldnt repair it the phone continued to have problems. The initial problem of slide was fixed but the phone developed even more serious problems probably due to negligence of the repair man. I asked for compensation as it was not my mistake what happened with the phone it was just a part of normal wear and tear and now my phone was close to useless to me.
They gave me 15000 Rs. as compensation for not being able to repair my phone and bought my phone for that price. A fully working xperia play could be get for 15k so it was really quite an unbelievable gesture by homeshopping which showed they truly care about customer satisfaction.
But I will say again if you dont show your dissatisfaction to the business then they are unlikely to offer you something good. And I would also say in my experience with homeshopping there has never been a single heated word, its always been calm arguments they are very friendly people. You should talk to the CEO, send an email to homeshopping complaint as he personally deals with all the complains. My problem was also only solved by the CEO, the employees of homeshopping probably dont have the authority to do some special case exemption to a customer.
