Salam fellow brothers.

I am about to buy my first andriod phone :D

I am going to buy the Samsung galaxy S or S1 (preferably the 16GB) in used.

Before I hit the market or buy from a pakgamer kindly tell me everything I must know before buying the smart phone.

Any specific type of S1 that i must look for which can be hacked so that it can run pirated andriod games downloaded frm torrentz and etc etc.
This is hte main concern because i dont want to buy a smartphone and later realize that i cannot update it or mod it or flash it in any way :)

Your opinion and advise is welcome

More over if there are other similar andriod phones like the Galaxy S with same or better specs and 4inch screen than point them to me too so that i consider them too.

Any 16GB model you find here will be the Vibrant i.e the T-Mobile version of Galaxy S.

Priority should be the i9000, which is 8GB. Vibrant should be the least of your concern because the customizations (roms and stuff) support for Vibrant is comparatively less than i9000.

Avoid the 4GB models, As shopkeepers in market will market the the 4GB model as Galaxy S but its i9003SL i.e. Slightly tuned down version of Galaxy S, without a SuperAMOLED display.

For the price of Galaxy S ... Nope.

However, that depends on your budget. If you can dish out somewhere between 35-38k ... you can get yourself a HTC Sensation, or if 42k, then a SGS2 ... used ofcourse.

Just buy an I9000 nothing else no vibrant no captivate.
And what's a S1?
Search for I9000 secret codes and use those when checking the phone for problems

buddy if you are going for 16GB version then. t-mobile vibrant is a good choice else if you want a front camera and verity of custom ROMs then go for i9000, as Vibrant do have custom roms aswell but i9000 have more verity. looks wise i must say Vibrant is much better and its my personal experience that Vibrant is more FAST and responsive than i9000 as i have used both of them at the same time ...
Captivate is not good anyways ..!

Things that you should check prior to the deal.

1. Over all condition of the set. Specially the back as it is prone to scratches. Try to get one with no or less scratches.

2. Restart the set and the boot up screen will let you know the model. It should be i9000. Can be checked in the settings > about phone menu.

3. Go to the settings and check the version installed. Should be froyo or gingerbread. Some of the i9000 can not be brought to download mode so they remain being installed with eclair.

4. Check the market and make sure it is working as the chinese ones donot have access to market.

5. Remove the protectors before paying so that you be able to check it for scratches.

Rest assure, it is still one of the best mobile available which will literally run everything for you with out a hiccup. Plus the superamoled display will be a treat for your eyes.

I'm selling the t-mobile galaxy s 4g.
1) It's not vibrant,
2) It's better than i9000 ,
3) It lasts 3 days on a single charge.
4) It's t-mobile logo.
5) It's rooted and have a very good customization support at xda.
6) Has one of the best box in the cellphone market (yes seriously).

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
