m posting this thread on behalf of my friend.. he wants a GAMING PC..
BUDGET = 50-60 thousands..
Requirement = Gaming (ALL TIME :p) and as he is student of Computer science so sometimes Programming also
no compromise on gaming..
Resolution 1920x1080
so guys plz suggest a good rig under this budget...
all suggestions would be warmly welcome

The components you suggested are enough, but consider dropping 7850, in favour of 7870 by dropping i5 for i3-3220.

i3-3220 with 7870 > i5-3470 with 7850

What [MENTION=38587]maryfarrukh[/MENTION] suggested is a good pair. The choice is up to your friend. Whatever pair he decides to get, he can't really go wrong with either (y). By the way, which power supply is he getting?

You said the PC will be primarily used for gaming. If that is true, then there is no point in getting the i5 over i3

i5 would be way more futureproof. Next gen consoles have 8 cores. You can't really expect the devs to not code games which start utilising more than 2 cores in the near future.
But i3 can still easily measure up in terms of performance since Intel's architecture is way more advanced than any jaguar core.

get the 7870 xt club 3d joker thing its around 26,700/- i think at autech these days and is a solid performer for 1080p and you can even go dual or triple monitors if you lower the settings a bit (ofc not counting witcher or metro for dual monitor setups)

yeah thats true that the PC will be used primarily for GAMING ONLY... so why not getting an i5 over i3..??

Based on purely performance, the newer gen is obviously better.
Bur price/performance wise, second gen(especially if you get used) will beat the 3470

ANd woh eyefinity ka buhat khuaar hai pata ni kab se shok hai uska lekin bana ni paya aj tak..
And dude r u sure 3840x1024 (3* 1280x1024)
I can play every game with 7850 ?? What about battlefield4 metro last light

i said 7870xt in whatever brand you can find not the 7850 and defintely not the 7870 normal but the xt or the le version its bascially a cut down 7950 but at the price of 7870 :) and resolutions depend on the game if the game supports it, bdw i tried eye infinity its not that amazing since the bezel of the monitors comes in the way and its annoying :O ... but two monitors are always fun to have, one for play and one for everything else :D

but eyefinity ik mazydaar cheez hai... i havent tried yet..
... thinking of getting a bigger lcd...

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

    tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
