XBOX Halo 4 Limited Edition Console Posted, Then Immediately Taken Down By Microsoft Store

Microsoft may have accidentally unleashed their limited edition console for Halo 4 a bit too soon since it seems to have spent approximately two milliseconds on the web.

IGN spotted the specially designed Xbox 360 console and controllers on Microsoft's online store and posted the image to their site before Microsoft removed it from their website.
The bundle comes with a black and blue style console, two controllers and a black headset. The console also makes Halo themed noises when it is powered on and the disc tray is opened.

The bundle also comes with extra DLCs including weapon and armor skins, emblems and avatar costumes and props. The bundle was listed at $399.99 before Microsoft removed it.

Halo 4 Limited Edition Console's Look Alludes to a Key Object in the Game

The sleek new special edition case and controllers for 343 Industries' Halo 4 wasn't just designed to turn a drab entertainment center into something that looks fabulous. It's actually a clue to an important part of the new game.

A post on the Halo Waypoint community forum from 343 revealed that its black and blue transparent look was designed to resemble something that will be a key part of the FPS' gameplay and story.

The latest "Halo Bulletin" from the studio revealed the development process of the look for the limited edition bundle. The bulletin says it was designed to look like "some of the materials and objects you're going to encounter in the game."

In fact, this spiffy looking Xbox 360 console set was designed after a specific object that no Halo player has seen yet that "while it's not a literal recreation of that object, having it grounded in the heart of our story was always the number one factor driving our design process".

What oh what could this thing be? My gut says it's some kind of massive, uber-cool, heat-seeking multi-kill weapon but my gut usually comes up with that answer when it comes to video game teasers. My gut may have a one-track mind but I still love the big lug.

if u decide to buy Skins do inform me as well I have been looking FOR XBOX SLIM and CONTROLLER skins for a long time now and havent found any .. came across a completely pathetic one for 400 rupees !
