cod4 ka khud dedicated server host krleta tha...

so that means u had to go through the port forwarding and the cracked exe. that u mentioned earlier ryt?

yes i had to do that....but as im a ptcl user so port forwarding and that kinda stuff is piece o cake...the real tough deal was cfg files...finding a good cfg online and then making it perfect for your server is a pain the ass...gameranger or tungle would be best for u...once i reinstall my cod4 i can join u

i mostly know what to do with the software... only if you could give me some link with the detailed steps for getting it to work... like how do i get my friends to join 1ce i stat a server with gameranger etc... that'd be really great

its real simple...install gameranger...launch it..make account...have your friend do the same...and then add each other to friends list...one of u chooses the Host option in the gameranger window...select the game u wanna host and the appropriate settings like player limit,password etc...and voila u done...all the players who wanna play should join the game...everyone should configure gameranger so that it knows where the game exe is located(done through the options button)...once everyone is ready in the room...the person hosting launches game and baqi sab ki bhi autolaunch hojati hai...

After updating to v1.7, can I directly execute the multiplayer if I don't want care about playing the campaign?
I remember that when I installed CoD4 before there was also a multiplayer crack that was needed.

^ NO crack is needed for MP.
Run the game, and put the KeyCode in the required place.

it works quite well on my 8500GT. The multiplayer is playable, and would be for you too but not on the extreme level.
