Gtx 770 is worth buying or not...

Is it worth buying a gtx770 now...AMD 9 series also coming in a month or two...

Bro i'll suggest that you wait, kep in mind though the wait will be longer than a month since the GPUs arrive here in Pakistan a little later as compared to the 1st world countries. Aprox. 1 month or so. GTX 770 is an entry level card for Nvidia's 7 series. Also since the consoles have move on to AMD as their graphics solutions supplier it will lead to better optimization of console ports on the pc. So I'd sugest you wait but if you get a decent price for the 770 then be my guest and go balls deep.:bd2:

No, it's not worth buying a GTX 770 right now because of the prices here in Pak...

You should wait, but if you can't help waiting, then get a HD 7970 Ghz. It's a lot cheaper than the GTX 770 and is almost as fast, though the difference is negligible...

since the Op owned 7970ghz previously. I would like to suggest too to run the system on intel hd graphics for a month or two. you won't hardly notice the difference (bm):guitar:

I'm going to bump this thread instead of opening another thread, i have and alway will be nvidia fan so amd cars are out of question , i was thinking of buying asus gtx 670 for 56K from czone but then on tomhardware i comparted this car with GTX 770 and people said 770 2GB is faster then 670 , price difference between both the cars in around 2K ( both asus) , so which one do you guys prefer , GTX 7702GB or GTX 6704GB , (I'll be playing games like GTA 5 , BF3 on max settings ) @Voodoo @rafay22 @zainu @mental

770 hands down....its an over-clocked Gtx 680. 2 Gb v 4 Gb, while its true that VRAM will be required in the future, your card would be too slow to make use of it. & 56k for Gtx 670 is madness when you can get 7950 for 30k but ofcourse, AMD is out of question

yes more vram is required if you go above hd barrier --that is 2560-1600 or some times even more then this ---depends on game to game but yeah the more the better

Wait a bit for gtx770 ... Price is high at the moment will settle in couple of months.... Or best option is to buy new asus dcu2 gtx 680 from pg market place .. It is equal to gtx770 and price will be around 35-39k depending upon your negotiation skills

if u have this much money to spend, go for a 2nd hand gtx680 as it has moar paawaa, i always recmnd going for a 2nd hand gpu because of better price/performance ratio..

I have no clue about AMD , which AMD card are you talking about ? i game at 1080p and planning to play future games like GTA 5 ,BF4 on max settings.

It should be pretty obvious that the 770 would be much better then the 670. Memory doesnt matter that much. However if you are going to spend this much money then might as well get the GTX 780 which unlike the GTX 770 is a GK110 based card. Ie with a slight overclock you will getTitan's performance.
