[SOLVED] Graphic Card Issue ATI 4830

Hi Friends, I need your advice.
My system: Pentium D 3.4GHZ, DG31PR Board, 2GB Ram, 640GB/64MB cache Hdd, Cooler Master 500watt Extreme PSU and Sapphire 4830HD 1GB Card.

Few days ago i bought this card. Games are lagging, even GTA-4 is not running well on Medium or Low settings, also having problem with Assassin Creed 1, I was only satisfied with Resident Evil 5 performance.

I have updated Mother Board BIOS and Display Drivers too.

Now please tell me, Is card not good enough to play these games? or is there something wrong. If it is then what should i do to resolve my problem.

Whats ur resolution of gaming?I THINK YOUR PROCESSOR IS THE BOTTLENECK HERE!!

Dear i do not play games more than 1024*786 resolution.

the cards good enough your processor is crap =D buy an E5400 or an E6500 and watch the games run better

Your card is great. I dont understand why it is unable to perform correctly.
I think it may be faulty. But I am not sure.

Resident Evil 5 and Far Cry 2 are running fantastic on highest settings. But why not GTA-4 and Assassin. I cant understand? I love GTA.

I don't think Processor is the Bottleneck as i used to run GTA 4 on my Crappy Pentium 4 631 @ 4.0GHz.. & when i upgraded to E8400 there was not MUCH performance gain(about 6fps only).

Try to update GPU driver to Catalyst 10.2.
ASSASSiN's Creed should not have such Problem.It should run fine on 1280x1024 to 1600x1200 on Highest settings.

Yeah, I checked his GPU's benchmarks and they were giving around 40 FPS on full settings and 1600x1200 resolution

One more thing i want to mention, GPU is bigger in size. When i installed it first time, it was running game like an integrated graphic chip but when i remove the board from chassis and then tried to install and run GPU, it worked fine. Afterward I fitted it with very much difficulty or you can say forcefully.
Can it be a matter that GPU is not performing with its full potential.

Forget the GTA 4.........
I couldn't also play this game..
10-12 FPS only

as for AC u should be able to play it.. :|:| i Play it at 1440x900 and HIGH/Medium

I play all games upto date with a 2.8 GHZ Processor except GTA 4 and Crysis

There might be a problem with your GPU if u can't even run Assassin's creed properly

well gtaiv is a very high game even on my sys which is 2.3ghz c2q...2gb ddr3...1gb gforce 9600gts....it works a little bit slow at night time on medium settings.....well assassin shold have to work fine but 1 thing have u given extra supply to ur card is there a port through which u can conect power supply to ur card

Well i am using that card with my Corei7 and also used it with my AMD X2 4200+ @2.4 Ghz. and was giving smooth gameplay when lower almost all the settings down.Getting 33-38 Fps.When playing with the resolution of 1024*768 and with medium-low settings it was giving me 25-30 Fps.Now with my I7 920@ 2.66 GHz Stock speed it is giving me 30-50 Fps.
