You can't buy digital copies in used, and can't sell them afterwards. Physical copies can end up being the more cost effective solution for the consumer.

Update: Sony says God of War Saga and Infamous Collection will cost $39.99 apiece. Still a pretty good deal, even at $10 more than the Ratchet & Clank Collection

If one buys a game for 5.5k & then sells it for 4k or something, he plays the game in 1.5k only!!! But it hurts the industry, they keep increasing the price that way 'cause they gain nothin' from used sales.

I believe that's a misconception and just an excuse used by game developers for increasing prices or explaining/justifying poor sales of their games.

There are many titles which are mediocre at best and not too many customers are willing to pay full price for them. Some people buy those titles new, while others buy such titles for cheap in used.
Now, if the guy paying full price knew that he won't be able to sell it afterwards and will have to bear the full cost then he might decide not to buy the game in the first place. Not many people will be willing to take a chance with new franchises or games from new studios. Any game scoring less than a perfect score in reviews will have a hard time finding customers.

And most of the times the money people get by selling their used games is utilized on buying other games. That creates a circle that benefits not just the customers, but smaller less famous developers as well.

Games can be sold on discounts through DD too. Look at Steam, it has been successful over the years. The devs. obviously agree to it's conditions so it's all good. Steam is actually the best bet for new smaller devs. I want something similar in nature for console games too.

Another biggest advantage of physical copies is renting service. One game circulates between lots of potential buyers, if they block used games then those buyers will wait for the price drop or discount offers like steam sales & actually buy the game resulting in profits for all sorts of devs. This will also urge the gamers to give up piracy!

EA has been showin' a lot of interest in DD lately & may go DD only, that could result in lower stable prices from this gen. to the other & others may follow suit.

i jus ship 1 copy to buyer n saw that gow3 also in 3D.didnt any 1 tried it in 3D?

cos have dream i can play mgs4+gow3 in 3D.n atleast its here.but question is,that saga ver is only in 3D or previous game also patched for 3D?

bought the saga collection today for 4300, the 1 month PSN voucher is useless coz it requires a credit card and the bonus content are just "making of" videos, its on 2 discs, gow collections,its bonuses and digital manual on one and gow 3,bonuses and digital manual on the other.

the origins collection is downloadable only via a PSN voucher for it

Is the package worth its price or is a person better of buying the GOW Origins Collection and GOW3 titles separately? (Kindly elaborate)
