@wanxta and conscript: Are you guys Sopranos fans? Cause if you are going into this expecting Lord of the Rings and instant crazy action then you might get disappointed. This show I feel is going to be more about mind games, power plays, politics and stuff. They described it as Soprano's with swords

Martin's amazing book series to the screen, and thrilled by the support of the media and our viewers," HBO president Michael Lombardo said in a statement. "This is the continuation of an exciting creative partnership."

EW reports that 2.2 million viewers tuned in to the first airing of 'Game of Thrones,' and a whopping 1.2 million viewers watched a second airing of the show. A third Sunday broadcast pushed the total viewership for the night to 4.2 million.
