Free online courses from top Universities (Coursera)

Anyone here taking any courses from Coursera.org ?

They provide free courses from some of the top universities like Duke/Stanford etc.. You enroll in a course and weekly they put up videos which you have to watch and there are exercises (MCQs) which you have to attempt to ensure you understood what was taught in the videos. 3-4 weeks later a quiz is conducted which is graded by the professor. Over the time period of the course, there are several quizzes and your score on those Quizzes determine whether you pass the course.

If you pass, you get a certificate. Pretty cool.. Most of the courses are around 5-10 weeks long. Great initiative by these guys!

depends on what course you looking for but if you want to take computer sciences intro course try udacity.com its amazing better than coursera.

the problem with edx courses is you need good maths background and i suck at maths i started it it was good at start but then it become like a fucking maths class and i had to quit.

udacity one is good...

i am currently reading inventwithpython its easy and simple to follow.

then ill start with my unit 4 of udacity again.

But edX and udacity both have only computers/IT related courses.

no udacity has physics and statistics courses as well.

edx has one nursing course.
