Getting closer to the conclusion. Gil and Sasaki's flashbacks were a nice touch. As were the special effects and visual representation of the Grail since the VN left a lot of it up to your imagination. Except for when it went all AoT, that didn't seem really necessary.

That was just to show Ea off and how Shirou can't get a read on it. Really liked how they got the static in from the VN to just show how otherworldly that sword is.

UBW - Episode 24

It was okay, i guess.

Spoiler: show
HOLY SHIT THIS FUCKING EPISODE BLEW MY FUCKING MIND.

The characterization was fucking stellar, Saber fading out after destroying the grail willingly this time was a great parallel to Fate/Zero. Gilgamesh hesitating even at the last second to use Ea builds his character so much, and that final scene with Archer is as heartfelt as it was in the VN.

All the original content was really good, the fight was amazing to watch. That final Excalibur was amazing and is now my new wallpaper.

All the musical call backs from the VN : Dis Illusion (Piano), Sword of Promised Victory, Into the Night, Sorrow, EMIYA and fucking NEW DAWN. So much nostalgia and such great choices.

Fucking kudos to ufotable. You da real mvp

Can't wait for next week, 20 minute epilogue for the true end. <3

Really pulled out all the stops for this one. The episode was tightly packed between all the action scenes and the verbal confrontations. Lovely visual effects for the swords and the Grail. Although the Grail transformation was still questionable but I'll let it slide. It was great to hear all those old tracks again, I was wondering why most of them hadn't shown up, guess it was more impacting to save them for the end. The final farewell scene was adapted nicely, the picture-esque background art for the temple vista, the cordial exchanges between master and servant, and of course....

Spoiler: show

...our resident tsundere keeping it real to the very end.

Well met, Rin. Well met. (y)

Saving my final impressions until after I've seen the epilogue. Should be a fun transition.

Fantastic epilogue. Seeing Rin and Shirou all grown up and acting mature, well, semi-mature(ish) was great. Going through all those scenic locations, getting to see Clocktower and all those character cameos, it was like an entirely different show on it's own. (One that I wouldn't mind watching. Looking at you, Type Moon)

I was half expecting to see Luvia but never thought they'd actually give her some definite screen time. And seeing Waver again instantly gave me the chills. One of the temple brothers got a brief cameo too which is nice.

The show sure had it's rough moments but I'd say it managed to live up to the mark. Fantastic way to the end the series and probably enough to warrant hype for Heavens Feel. Good show, Ufo.

I honestly didn't think the epilogue could compare to episode 24, but Ufotable actually managed to do it.

Really enjoyed how they fast-forwarded to the clock-tower and gave us the VN ending halfway through the episode. This whole episode was basically fanservice to any Type-moon fan, the Shiki cameo, Luvia being amazing as always, Waver reminiscing about how he grew up during the last grail war, ufotable even went as far as to include the April Fools joke wrestling costumes. Gotta give 'em props for everything.

The farewell for Saber was very well executed and Archer's answer and how Shirou in the end deviates from Archer's path was really nice, only disappointment was that Rin & Shirou never actually kissed.

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
