Wow if you connect the Hard Drive to the PS2 then that means no more Lens issues. Hell you don't even need to buy PS2 CDs.

I got another question why can't you do that with the Slim PS2? It does have a USB slot if i'm right.

USB slot is not equal to an HDD expansion bay

slim ps2 requires very risky soldering for attaching external HDD's. So its not good in that regard.

compatibility is too low, about 5-8 percent games will work plus it won't be disc free (unless u use infinity modchip) u would still require to boot USB extreme from a CD or DVD

chandoo, i have a ps2 fat one, am willing 2 exchange aswell, but to tell u the truth there is something wrong wit my ps2 it happend about 3-4 weeks ago, it plays dvds but not gamez (havent checked out what is wrong wit it myself, my lil cousin has it) he told me that he has bought a dvd lens cleaner and that should make it run again. i dont know what happend.
so there u have it, i personally dont think it has a major issue, but i will check it out myself and post the details here if ya want to know. so there u have it!
