You didn't get what I said. I was saying that without knowing the settings upon while you're playing a game on a console, how would anyone know if they're using it to the max or minimum usage? Usage because if the game is Crysis 3 and if it's demanding on PC then automatically it's demanding on a console? That can't exactly be said because if every other new title comes out and I play it on 'minimum' settings and only expect 30 FPS, then I don't think that it's a really hard thing to do, on a console.
And I never said that PC was a cheap investment, but again, you get more for your money. As far as energy is concerned, with Platinum PSU's, 22nm CPU's and 28nm GPU's, stuff has only gotten more energy efficient and even single GPU solution gaming rigs don't eat up that much energy at stock speeds.
A console is meant for you:
- If you want the cheaper way out in gaming,
- If you don't care much about visuals and a great gaming experience, but rather just the story line of the game.
A PC is for people with the opposite reasons, but if you're smart and if you know your way around PC components, then it doesn't necessarily need to cost a fortune.
