But David Cage? New project already? So many new announcements, and here I thought Sony was focusing more on gamea that have already been announced.

as I said : this is 80% confirmed...things might change - Sony likes to overbook games (actually its an industry practice to book by around 10%) i.e they have 100 games on standby and they will showcase only 90..and these last minute calls are made by execs and creative directors, usually so they can react for external / internal factors ( i.e in response of something or if they feel that MS or others have shown something or there are enough leaks for that session..and only confirm to developers 10/12 hours which ones might not make it) shock value (+ marketing plans) are of course good to create buzz

I kinda have to agree with this. Putting aside entirely what gameplay, and story would be like I was expecting a darker theme. Or if I put it in another way, the impression I got from the original teaser trailer was representing an almost exclusively Blade Runner-esq theme. Looking at this trailer, I am not sure what to expect from the final game. I'm sure CDPR will play to its strengths from The Witcher series. What I'm missing from Cyberpunk 2077 at the moment is its own unique feel/identity. The trailer makes it look like a hybrid of several games already out there.

    You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
