Jaidy! Open your web browser, and type the URL of modem's setting. Its usually 192.168.1.1.
You'll have to check the "WAN Statistics" and let us know your line profile.
1. If Downstream is 4098 or higher, and Upstream is 1024 or higher ... then you have a 4Mbps line profile. In which case you should be getting the full 4Mbps speeds of 400KBps+ on your downloads. If you don't, then it means you are NOT shifted to a 4Mbps connection, and still running a 2Mbps (with just the 4Mbps line profile). In this case, lodge a complaint for Broadband through the MyPTCL portal.
2. If your downsteam and upstream is lower than that, then check the SNRMargin, and it should not be less than 10.0 or 12.0db. If it is, then it usually indicates a PSTN problem (public switched telephone network i.e. your telephone line). In which case, lodge a complaint for PSTN through the MyPTCL portal.
Also, if possible, kindly use this link and post a speed test result: speedtest.ptcl.net
