Don Bradman Cricket 17 will launch this December on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, smack bang in the midst of Australia’s annual summer of cricket.
The successor to the well-received Don Bradman Cricket 14, Big Ant explains DBC17 will feature a new lighting system, “photo realistic skin tones”, and also promises to add more control depth to what’s already an admirably nuanced cricket simulation. Those who make the upgrade from the previous Don Bradman Cricket will be able to import their players from the last game.
We’ll be able to get a glimpse of DBC17 from today with the launch of the new Don Bradman Cricket Academy, available free on Steam.

The ability to add tattoos is a new addition to the player creation tool.

“The first Don Bradman Cricket got us off to a great start, providing players with an authentic, exciting game of cricket that allowed them to feel like they were standing in the middle of the oval, right on the pitch,” said Big Ant CEO Ross Symons. “Now, we’re taking that realism further with the advanced new engine we have developed this year.”
“The impending release of the Don Bradman Cricket Academy will give players a taste of just how far things have come.”

BRAND NEW FEATURES REVEALED FOR DON BRADMAN CRICKET 17

Melbourne, Australia-based developer Big Ant Studios has today revealed a swathe of new and updated features coming in December’s Don Bradman Cricket 17. The full feature list includes a deeper career mode, more creation options, tweaked bowling and fielding play, and various presentation enhancements.
“We really wanted to approach Don Bradman Cricket 17 as a response to fan requests,” said Big Ant CEO Ross Symons in a statement. “Each of the features that have been added or improved in this new game addresses our most frequently-requested updates. We would like to thank all of our fans for the support over the years, and we can’t wait to get your thoughts on this latest release.”

We really wanted to approach Don Bradman Cricket 17 as a response to fan requests.

DBC 17’s enriched career mode will now see us begin our cricket careers at the local level, playing for teams in our chosen region before earning selection for domestic and international duty. Teams will also be dynamic throughout our career saves rather than locked to a single line-up for the duration; other players will shift about as they retire, suffer injuries, slump in form, or get selected for bigger things. A new “Be a Pro” option brings with it the ability to play through career mode as an existing player, and we’ll also have the option to play through career mode controlling the whole team.

The new logo editor.

DBC 17 will also be brimming with new creation tools. In addition to the expanded character creation system DBC 17 will also boast a logo editor (which will allow players to recreate their own team logos and sponsorships on their uniforms and bats) and a “full and comprehensive stadium creator mode that will allow players to recreate their own local cricket ground in-game.”
“You can basically edit and share, and share across platform, too, and import from Photoshop [on PC],” Symons told IGN. “So basically you’ll be able to do what you want.”
“It’s going to be a cricket sandbox, really. Essentially the stadium creator ties it all together.”

Big Ant has also explained spin bowling has been honed to be “more similar in execution to pace bowling” and fielders now have separate fielding attributes and skills. There will be new mechanics for infield and slips catching and players who select wicket keepers “can look forward to having a more significant role in games.”
The commentary has reportedly been “vastly expanded” to support better responses to in-game events and feature “authentic banter between the commentators in the box”, and Big Ant is also promising new graphs and stats will be included in the presentation.
Can’t wait until December? PC players can download the free nets mode for DBC 17
via Steam from today.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
