well, as all of u know-or maybe not-pakistan is short of half of the power it consumes , in other words , our demand is 16400MW but we are producing merely 8200W.
Isn't it shocking to learn this?

Well guys, this leads me to my point, in this brutal environment where u are couching on your chair(or a sofa in my case^_^) and u are playing skyrim-wandering about in wilderness, slashing draugars while working for Ulfric Stormclock-and suddenly ............................ BAM !

WTH? OH DAMN THE LIGHT IS GONE.
well, some of u would be having generators, but what about ur progress, atleast i dont take the extra trouble of saving every 5 min, so a generator is pretty much useless.

What do u guys do to protect the softwares and hardware devices of ur PC in a situation like this where loadshedding is impeding your fun time?

UPS ? IS THAT a viable option?

YOUR OPINION IS VALUED, PLEASE SHARE IT WITH US!(y)

Well I use a UPS for PC, its really handy in a country like Pakistan. In Abbottabad, load shedding is too much, sometimes 4 to 5 hours at a time. Seriously, with so much load shedding happening nowadays, gaming without ups is a real pain. My UPS is not very power full but it does allow me to save my game with ease when light goes out.
Buy it.

I use UPS with my computer, but mostly when playing games with heavy graphics like bf3 it usually gives a jerk like in 5 out of 10 times. So I refrain from playing heavy graphics games near loadshedding timings. But there is nothing that can be said or done about untimely loadshedding.

I beg to differ, i don't think a combined PROTEST would be any useful.
Take another look at the facts, we aren't producing enough energy , our demand exceeds by 100% of what we are producing.

Would people coming out on the roads (in a peacfull protest) help in THIS appalling situation ?
No, it definetly wouldn't.

I think u can see it clearly that a protest wouldn't produce more power, neither would it compel the politicians to build some power plants (cuz the elections are soo near and starting a power project now would do nothing to help clear their name from the blacklist).
The only hope we have is to VOTE for a better leader in the future (maybe imran khan).
In other words, protest is a no go !!

Nope, I don't use one.

Isn't loadshedding scheduled in your area?
It's like hell here, now. This is the reason I couldn't use pc for 2 days. I turned it on, light went. Again, and it went again and so on. -.-

well it WAS a few days ago, but recently it has been so haphazard, it's like it can go at any time, sometimes for 3 hrs straight ( and i am in LHR the 2nd largest city of PAKISTAN )
After some protests or so, they'll be back to the routine one I guess.

Since there's usually never any load-shedding in my area, I'm all good. :3
Wah..Dah..Fah..

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
