Ditched PTCL and got NTC!!!!!!!

i terminated my ptcl connection and got a National Telecom Company connection
its 1mb but its giving upto 120kb/s on my peace walker download.. same speed as sucky ptcl 2mbp)p)p)

Lol you are the only person who gets high speeds on PTCL. I too get around 95-105KB/sec and not the full 128KB/sec on 1 MBPS connection

thats because its 2mbps downgraded to 1mbps, but ptcl forgot about downgrading the speed also

theoretically speaking you can't get 128 KB/s unless exchange is next to your home.....the only problem with PTCL for me was with their DNS servers..but Google's helped :3

^ You're wrong on that, I kept getting average 150kbps on my 1mb PTCL last year, The exchange is around 1km away from my house.

if you upgrade 1mb to 2mb then speed will update in about a month (after many complains ) and if you downgrade 2mb into 1mb then they will never change the speed

Yaar Amaar, Sunny and Energy are right.

I too sometimes experience slow speeds. When called for help, they respond after a week or so. I have heard from many places that they are slow workers and dont respond to situations well.

I've been very lucky with PTCL customer care. Whenever I've had any DSL related issue, it usually got resolved within 24 hours. Sometimes all it took was one call and after 1 or 2 hours the issue was resolved. A few months ago my line got a lot of noise, it took 1 day for the line man to come and change the entire cable right from the telephone pole to my router.

Yes, you are right about that.

There's a difference between phone line issues and upgrading/downgrading broadband. When you register a complain via phone, it gets registered in their automated system, so unless they don't solve it and you don't confirm it to the phone call made by the computer, it'll get their day messed up. But when you call for technical broadband issues and talk directly to the operator, you know how long they keep you on hold because there's no one getting on their nerves.

i get full speed on 2mb dsl of ptcl... but those high pings are a concern
