Disapointing experience with PakGamers Premium Sellers E-Mall

First of all did NOT make a purchase yet. I want to though. the good trade scores make it so tempting ! :dance1:


don't want to name any names, maybe i expected too much. this is pakistan after all

here is what happened: no timely replies to my sms's, PM's.. not picking up phone.

i felt like regular buyers or people with higher forum posts got preference over me. which i guess is fair too.

any body got links to horror stories when buying and selling on this board? i want to read that instead of just going by trade score.

the regular board members helped me way more !
still have faith in PG

Now on topic, sellers in the E-Malls are human beings, not machines.If they didn't pick up your call or reply to your SMS means that they are busy and you can always try again.If you want to read horror stories then use the search engine, you'll find plenty entertaining threads in which at the end it's always either the buyer's fault or the buyer's and seller's both.

Sigh. Premium sellers hamare nauker nai kay wait kerain phone ka. Whoever he is will reply back and even if he doesnt, you cant blame him for not answering. His life, uskee marzee. :S

well..buddy you would mainly have to rely on their trader score and regarding no name policy that you have...that would not help PG moderators to resolve your matter....

if you dont wish to reveal the names in public then send a PM to the "Authority" but only if you have a serious problem...not something like this...

sometime i personally dont reply any PM or sms...not that i dont wish to...its only that i am unable to ....so my brother dont take it personally if they have not replied to your PM or SMS

In order for communication to be effective, instant feedback is required. In his case, he didn't get any at all (to what his first post mentions at least).

But also on the other hand, he hasn't mentioned that how long he waited for a response. I'd say minimum at least 2 days.

@GrunT i searched ! bhai aap link day do. i cant find it.everybody has super good experience here.
@Styles hey this is not personal. i still think people will come out and post stories like mine. so people like me get into market place with a better frame of mind.

It puzzles me, when i searched and read up. i was like.... WOW ! everyone is really happy. i should buy.

My story if you are curious:

i thought ok lets do it.
I PM'ed the guys i wanted items from..
waited 5 or 6 days. no reply. PM'ed several times and got strange replies like.. I dont have this. how much are you getting this from market? i thought hmm. odd. nevermind.

so i have been waiting cluelessly for like 10 days now.

then i said screw it I will start a normal WTB thread in market place.

my thread gets some traffic so i want to hype the item I was demanding. i posted a link with the reviews to the item.

great ! my demanded item is hyped enough now. seller gets the item and copy pastes reviews from my thread.im very happy !!

I expected to get priority on getting item, since i was begging for 2 weeks before seller even got the item and started selling.

i PM the seller and remind him again. hey i asked you to get this please resserve for me, infact take my money. i want it..no reply.

Now i wait like 7 or 8 days. then get reply. item out of stock.

I AM SHOCKED

I log in and see all this "item sold ! Item sold !"
Im thinking, what do I have to do to convince this guy I am desperate for the item. kiya karoon. I called, sms'ed, PM..what else to do?

In deffence of seller. he seems like a great guy, spoke to him on the phone. But you guys tell me. this is normal?

Regular forum guys were so much more quick and helped me get the item.

To me i think it is a bad experience. should i not share it here. I love PG

time i had to do khuwari..about 20 days. nice right?

basically there is no issue to lock this thread someone... not replying back is no offense... if there was any hanky panky in some trade where there was a money issue or defected product or something then we could have talked... but this just means that... SOMEONE LOCK THIS THREAD...

yaar why locking it. edit kardo if something is offensive.. making customer linger is not good buddy. and i was not expecting it. i started this thread so some one with similar experience can share their story. if i was prepared to do khuwari like this for a month before hand. trust me, i would not have been disappointed

Let me rephrase the highlighted part of yours. Its more of 'he couldn't make any deal instead of didn't'. There's a good difference in that. And how can he get screwed when the sellers are suppose to be premium (makes sense?).

And there's also a good reason why they say 'time is money'

Fine, the premium seller didn't reply. boohoo big deal.

Last time I checked, none of the premium sellers were selling anything that a person would require on very urgent basis.

YES it is a concern that Premium sellers should be accountable for long absence, but that does not mean you act like a victim.

If this is what really happened and if it was your honest experience, then I'm surely with you 110% the whole way. 1 Week waiting time is Hell more than enough for anyone whose selling stuff especially on the premium section of the market place.

However you also mentioned that you talked to the seller on phone and still he acted out the way he did (which doesn't makes sense and he shouldn't have). If its done on the phone, then it should be done in real too!!

In all, we're just members who have NO rights, but something like this should be looked upon for everyone's sake in the future.
