r3aper Yes you can party-up with 6 of your friends and enter the crucible and match up against another team.

Hit level 20...

need people to do the Dailies, and the Weekly Strikes....

Im usually online daily after around 8pm...

- - - Updated - - -

Pretty sure that WOW Raids didn't support matchmaking initially but they were added later.
yes but those raids aren't proper... there is little to no strategy, teamwork or anything and is just there for a quick runthrough...

for heroic raids etc, you need a proper group and that's where people actually recruit instead of queuing up for public raids

Ok so the raid has got to be the most interesting thing, I saw the stream last night and the amount of coordination is the single winning factor here. It will be fun to do with PG mates.

Did the moon strike last night, and died moments before my fireteam took down the boss... went to the tower to claim the bounty and surprise surprise my bounty didn't complete as I died when the boss went down :(
You sure there were no other clauses associated with that strike? It was simply "kill the boss"? It didn't require any heroic modifiers to be active?

Very unfortunate if true.

Destiny hotfix doubles frequency of public events • Eurogamer.net

Hopefully this means now we get actual public events. I haven't encountered them much so far. Not like the one that they showed at Last year's E3.

I also noticed that I usually get UAE/KSA players. There are a whole lot of players from that region so I guess we get matchmaking based on region, and hence we get Middle Eastern servers. Heck I have even seen chicks with name like Zara_UAE :p

Nope I don't see any other cause its the regular non heroic bounty, my fireteam member got it but I didn't.

@Raza7154 Still looking for light armour? :p

DLM yeah we get connected with Middle Eastern servers, thats probably the reason why we see such low volume of players (Saudis are mostly playing COD). Wish we had an option to select the region as was the case with KZ3.

[h=2]Clan beats Destiny's first raid after 14 hours[/h]

Destiny's first raid: Vault of Glass, was beaten about 14 hours after the content launched, according to a clan called PrimeGuard.

Today at 4:07 pm, Primeguard's Twitter account posted photos of the victory.

Destiny developer Bungie acknowledged PrimeGuard's feat, and shared statistics from the raid.

Vault of Glass was released early this morning and designed for Destiny players at level 26 and above.

The team at PrimeGaurd is rightly proud of their achievement, going so far as to indicate it in their twitter bio, which now reads "Hardcore Destiny Clan - World First Vault of Glass."

Bhai I am trying to grind as much as I can, and it has taken its toll on me those late night sessions don't make the most best of morning routines :p

I am almost 15, gotta finish bounties for quick level ups. Problem is I get too little time to play the Destiny app shows a total play time of 5 hours only. The coming weekend haven't felt this sweeter to me since a long time!

Last night I tried the Raid by myself. Launched the raid, noticed I had to empty half of my clip just to kill a Goblin.

Went straight back to orbit.

ok this random loot is seriously beginning to piss me off! Been stuck at Light 21 for 2 days now even though i have been running the level 22 Strikes..and to top that off there is no fucking trade system in the game so that you can trade gear from friends if they don't need it. A friend of mine reached Light 24 after playing just 2 hours

[h=2]Destiny sales total $325M in first five days, Activision says[/h]

Destiny is a game with a huge budget and a number of issues, but it can still be an enjoyable ride if you go in with your eyes open. This less-than-stellar critical launch doesn't seem to have dulled enthusiasm for the game, however.

According to a statement from Activision the game has sold through more than $325 million worth of product in its first five of availability. This is "according to Chart-Track, first parties, retail customer sell-through information and Activision Blizzard internal estimates."

That sort of disclaimer should tell you how tricky it can be to get meaningful sales information, even from the publisher itself.

"Destiny fans played more than 100 million hours of the game in the first week. That's on par with the engagement levels of our most popular Call of Duty games, which obviously is an industry leader," Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, said in the statement.

"Millions of gamers are having a great time playingDestiny and can't put down their controllers. And this is just the beginning. Destiny is a platform that will grow and evolve and we will continue to work closely with our partners at Bungie to bring a long line of new experiences and content to life in the game."

Activision announced that the game shipped $500 million worth of goods to retail last week, and the sell-through allows us to give that number a bit more context. It's also important to remember that Bungie and Activision signed a 10-year deal for Destiny; this is just the opening rounds of a very long business relationship between the two companies when it comes to the world of Destiny.

And of course, if they need to make a little bit of extra cash, there's always that often-discussed PC version of the game to consider.

So the best moment happened to me in Destiny today.

Decided to finally do the Moon Strike. To my surprise, I spawned right near the end to fight the huge ass boss. I was with just one other player with the nick gamergirlL4D (who knows if it was a he or she :p) and we were getting owned by the swarm of enemies. It was truly an intense experience. After dying a couple of times, I frustratingly ran outside to circle around the boss, looking for a place to shoot him with peace. The other player was set to distract the boss and enemies while I kept shooting the main boss. It took a while, and a couple of tries still, but we finally managed to beat the huge ass boss. I gotta say that this was perhaps the most satisfying moment for me. I think it took close to an hour for just the final fight.

The best part of the fight was the intensity of it. Fighting the boss while dealing with the enemies. It all just worked well.

Spoiler: show
Afterwards, the girl/guy sent me a friend request too. lulz :mushy:

is it that giant ogre? Phogoth? that is one hell of an annoying yet pretty good fight. If the team understands their roles it can be really fun especially at higher difficulties with all those Knights and Wizards rolling in
