Connecting PS3 to PC monitor

So I just bought a PS3 (or rather borrowed) and have attached it to my LCD TV for now. But I want to shift the setup and connect the console with my PC monitor. The problem, my monitor doesn't have an HDMI port! I googled around and found you're supposed to attach a converter. I have two main queries:

1. Do all HDMI-to-DVI connectors work fine? And where can I find 'em? My location is Islamabad.
2. Secondly, how am I supposed to connect my headphones to the PS3? There's no headphone jack!

I'll appreciate if somebody would guide me

Ideally, it should work fine but I don't know about PS3. I remember doing something similar with Xbox 360 long time ago and it worked fine.
As for your headphones, since you don't have HDMI port the audio won't be transferred through headphone jack on your monitor that is even if you have any you will have to use an alternative way which others can chime in hopefully.

I think the connector should be fine, no idea where you can get it in Islamabad though. [MENTION=8932]Dark Sith[/MENTION] might be able to help in that, try Rwp market?

well, i can guide u related to h/w .. for the connectors/converters u may buy from galaxy isb dukaan, myshop, vmart or mega.pk or beegeek wala!!!

1. Yes. HDMI-DVI connector works perfect, it is available at any local computer store for about 200-300rs.
2. For the audio. You will need a PS3's component cable, RCA jack to 3.5mm male and 3.5mm Male to 2X 3.5mm female.
Steps:
-Connect the RCA coming from the PS3 to RCA jack converter.
-Plug the male of the RCA converter into the 3.5mm female of the third converter mentioned.
-Now plug your headphones into the remaining female 3.5mm.

P.S These converters are available for 10rs each.

The right one is RCA to 3.5mm converter.
