Hi There Guys!
I just shifted to Connect from PTCL like a few days ago,Been happy with it till now,
Just a few questions if you won't mind/
1.I'm trying to download Ubuntu 15 from the official website but I am getting only 110 Kb/s on Connect Orange(3 Mbps) shouldn't I get like 250-300kb/s?
P.S I'm trying to download it at 1:00 am.
2.What is the happy hours you guys talk about?

Yes, you should be getting 200+ even at the rush hours. As far as I know happy hours starts late night like 3am and end at 12 at morning. In this time speed is at its best. This is the best downloading time. On Blue(1mb), I'm getting around 100. But in happy hours the speed is 250.

What you need on Ptcl is a download accelerator like IDM

I opted out of PTCL because of their Highly stupid Customer service and My connection being down once every 2 months and the Downtime was about a Month.

I got like 6 MBps(5.75 to be exact) at 11 am but couldn't get like 110kb/s on the torrent But Still Its WAAAAY tooo Better than the sh*tty PTCL.
One more thing can we request things that get uploaded to Dodear? and Where can we request?

One thing, you will never get good speeds like idm on torrent on connect net. And for the upload request. You can either mail or request it on their official page. But I don't think that they listen to the requests. Btw what do you want them to upload?

If it gets above 110 kb/s on torrents then I'm happy,

IDK why it shows World call as my ISP.

I checked torrent on connect yellow today and the speed was around 110kbps in the morning.

ok guys so i applied for connect from the local dealer and this guy is basically a total retard. When i went to inquire about the connection he told me i would require a specific model of tp-link router for it to work but now after the connection has been made the guy is not using the PPTP connection but instead has assigned me a static IP and probably log on to the account from his side.(static IP would work with any router -_________-)

This makes me suspicious. Why do this? When connect already has a system why are you using a different system. Probably something fishy going on. And also he refuses to give an explanation as to why this is. Is there some way to complain to the main company about whats going on here. cause i doubt this guy is going to admit to what he's doing and neither is he going to put me up to the normal dialer connection way either.


P.S. the connection is definitely connect as dodear works but i wanted to ask like my friend who lives in a different area also has connect should i be able to log in to his account from my house? Cause i tried that and that isn't working.

connect is already giving me cancer. this dealer distribution network sucks ass

the dealer has not made my new 4mb account yet and has temporarily giving me a 1mb connection which is also on this fecking static ip BS. Plus this idiot's phone is always switched off. the only time i was actually able to call him on his phone was after 2 minutes when he left after installing the wire at my place.

Oh and I also pay Rs. 1700 so he's not overcharging you as long as you're being given a 4Mbps connection. 14% on 1500 is 210.

and yeah the problem is i don't want static ip as i want to be able to reconnect if pings are good. Though that isn't even the problem as he hasn't even made my userID yet. SMH

Man my dealer is not budging over giving me the dialer connection. I don't want a shared connection and I need the dialer so I can reconnect whenever I want to get good pings.

I tried complaining to connect they asked me who my dealer was. I'll have no choice if my dealer doesn't comply

but still worth it in my opinion
