I don't have the time to read all of those pages...
But if i remember correctly me net is very shitty now a days, its 1mb connect.... and sometimes it feels like im using 512kbps
The google page takes 25-30 sec to load.... download speed has also affected a little
U facing the same???

Yeah, same thing happened a couple days back but it fixed itself on Sunday. Back to normal since.

Yes that's true. Although you will get full speed on direct downloads.

yup there might be a workaround... BUT as I said its a galli-mohalla wala internet so its pretty easy to check whos leeching speeds at a particular moment.

Someone wrote elsewhere in this thread k the COnnect guys told him that he was leeching too much speeds and banned him or something...

I haven't tried any as I don't have the connection. Throttled torrent speeds was the reason I didn't get it instead on Ptcl. Although my friend tried some workarounds and succeeded for sometime but as connect doesn't have many users they can easily track the person leeching speeds and then they send you a warning email first then they disconnect your connection.

as switch is prety far from my home so connect guy estimated the length is 100 meters so he suggested that i should buy a whole bundle of 120meter cable for 2600pkr so it will cost less, else if i go for bulk than it will cost 10 rs per meter, any one has idea what type of cable this so that i go to market and check myself

i also got connect connection. 56 meters Cable was used and he offered me CAT6 Cable for 30 RS per meter so 56*30 = 1680 is the amount i paid for cable and i think he charged fairly.

You can go to market and tell them that you want "CAT6" Cable.

One more thing i would like to mention here that it is not a good option to get connection if switch is 100 meters far he should put another switch for you.
there is limitation for Data transfer over these cables if you go up to 100 meters or above you may suffer because of this with speeds and pings.


Correction:
Its not 10 Rs per meter it is 10 Rs per foot.
1 Meter = 3.28084 Foot

I do not understand the need for 4mb+ internet connections if the torrents are limited to 1/3rd the speed. One may as well get WC. Atleast I get around 480kbps and truly unlimited downloads on a 4mb package.

loadsheding is also minimum at my area too. it was like only 2% in my area before elections but after the elections it is now 15%.
u didnt bought the cable from the dealer that means u bought it from the market, how much it cost u per meter?
