Hello @Shary Bhallu TC how it is possible that you are getting high downloading speed from connect

he is downloading those torrents from connects own server thats why he getting about avg 1mbps per torrent.

Every ISP whether it be PTCL or Connect has right to Log your activity as per This article of Connect.

Does Connect Communications log or track my activities on network?
Connect Communications have an automated logging and tracking system, which keeps the records of user id and Public IP address. The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan requires this feature. The logs are only provided to Government's authorized law enforcement agencies upon any illegal activity performed by a particular user. It is advised to Connect Communications' users to safeguard the user id and do not share it with any unknown or less trusted person.

Though they wont be watching what you do in your PC but if you get involved in any illegal activity using their connection. they have the right to report you to the authorities.

And dont be paranoid brother.. they can only check what you browse and download.. They cant actually get inside your PC.. so you're pretty much safe. as privacy is concerned.

My cousin has connect too so when I asked him if he played unity he said he installed it but the game was quite buggy so he didn't bother playing it.

Officially there isn't one anymore ,which was the 10mb package . However some PG members claimed that if u have good connection with ur ISP ,you might just get hold of one.

If you're going for a 10mb package just so you could get faster dl speed on torrent.then its not worth it as it makes absolutely little to no difference

the connect operator was saying that this router have out ethernet ports he want in ethernet port for connection.
and he was also saying that if i will do settings in this router so you will be able to get connected with internet but you cannot use our sharing website.

I am so fed up of Connect now. I am fuming. I just talked to their head office and the guy said that the torrents are indeed locked to 160 kbps on 4 mbps connection (I used to get around this much on 1 mbps PTCL lol). Whereas when I used to complain to my area Connect line person about it, he would always say that he'll get the speed fixed. :/ When I told him that the head office person told me on phone that 160 kbps is indeed the limit, he said that he knew about that all along. Wtf? Meri khuwaari kyun karwaye 3 mahinon tak phir bhens ki tang?

Regarding Twitch and Playit.pk streaming, the guy at the head office said that you need to connect the PC using a wire and not wifi router in order to stream properly. Chay bananay ki full koshish. Khair I'll be disconnecting Connect just after 3 months of installation. Chutiapay ki service hay, believe me. DSL/Broadband is much better and hassle free compared to Connect. PTCL has its faults and problems but when working fine, it works amazingly well.

Connect is very good for few things, like online gaming (pings of as low as 35 to Dubai DOTA 2 server and 90 to India server). And their 'portal' has all the latest pirated games uploaded a day or two after they are out. But for true internet stuff (like streaming, browsing, etc), you'll get stuck in a sub-par internet experience.

Personally, I had many problems with Connect. The main ones were streaming, VPN and downloading torrents. I need to download huge softwares (MATLAB, Simaris etc) for university, and can't afford to wait a week or so before download is finished. Had to get my friend to download the softwares at his connection. Regarding Streaming, I am a huge e-sports fan. I watch twitch at least 2-3 hours a day when I am bored. And the experience is so frustration, that even on the lowest setting (144p Mobile setting), the stream would lag for 5 seconds after playing for 5 seconds. This is unbearable for me. Regarding VPN, random sites where I buy stuff from (TigerDirect.ca, TheSource.ca) are banned on their connection for no reason at all :/ I don't watch porn etc but I need these websites to work, and there is no way for these sites to work since they've banned them and most/all fast VPN solutions.

I m using connect in F.B Area and using 1 Mbps connection. But 1200 for 1 Mbps is too much normally 1 Mbps connection charges are 700 Rs.

Connect net is totally depend on Area person. In Karachi somewhere connect is good and some place connect is worst. In my area connect is not that good.

Online gaming working fine on connect? like Dota 2 and League of Legends, I'm on Fariya and its not working for me especially from 2:00 pm can't even login in league but it works fine on morning like 10:00 am. I did a speedtest on Netherlands server and the result was 157 ping, 0.2mpbs download ??? upload (upload stuck doesn't start in speedtest). I'm having this problem from a week now and its getting worse day by day.

btw fariya and connect both use the transworld bandwidth thing?
