Can't see menu properly in CS 1.6

OKay so i got the CS 1.6 .exe from PeeTCL's gaming sever. I installed the game (no problems though)

But when i run the game, the menu is like this :



As you can see, i cant not view the menu items properly which is pretty frustrating >_<

Anyone know what could be the problem here :unsure:

P.S: Sorry for crappy image quality :p

I had the same problem.
To fix it go to display options then change the renderer to opengl or software.
But as you cant see menus, you have to use the tial n error method to find the display menu.

Dude i cant even see where the "options" menu is, and even if somehow i open it, everything is also blank there !!!

The options tab is the third one in the menu. Open it then go the last tab in the options. There u will find a drop down menu on left hand side. Then randomly select any option. If that option doesnt work then try the remaining options.

Cant u somehow download a new setup from Torrents or some place else instead of stressing on ur tiny little brain on how to run CS? -_-

Re-install the Windows. And try again.

I was facing the SXE problem. When i start CS, SXE automatically terminates. So, i re-installed the windows and its working fine now :)

HAH ! Yea Right !!! im not using pirated Windows here, its on my laptop. everything is on the C:/ partition : !!

I did download that patch, extracted all files to "Valve" folder but still not working :(

Why don't upload the file on rapidshare on something o_O (i mean whats thr to ask :unsure:)

    Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
