Director: Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem For a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler)
Cast: Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel, Mila Kunis, Barbara Hershey, Winona Ryder
Rated: R for strong sexual content, disturbing violent images, language and some drug use.
Synopsis: BLACK SWAN follows the story of Nina (Portman), a ballerina in a New York City ballet company whose life, like all those in her profession, is completely consumed with dance. She lives with her retired ballerina mother Erica (Barbara Hershey) who zealously supports her daughter’s professional ambition. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening production of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Kunis), who impresses Leroy as well. Swan Lake requires a dancer who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the Black Swan, who represents guile and sensuality. Nina fits the White Swan role perfectly but Lily is the personification of the Black Swan. As the two young dancers expand their rivalry into a twisted friendship, Nina begins to get more in touch with her dark side with a recklessness that threatens to destroy her.

Black Swan premieres at Venice and Toronto then hits theaters Dec. 1st

Well one thing's for sure, it's going to have a kick ass score like all of aronofsky's movies. That trailer looks quite good, I love that part at the end where she plucks that thing out of her skin. Releasing in December, this could be a contender in the awards season

Looks really cool. What's up with the random girl-on-girl scene though?

Well I enjoyed watching The Wrestler, so will be looking forward to this. Plot seems very interesting, like a psychological thriller.

Not random its kind of a twisted love/hate relation going on between two rivals. The girl on girl scenes gave the film its initial hype (w)
Well one thing's for sure, it's going to have a kick ass score like all of aronofsky's movies.
Yeah the score in the trailer was absolutely beautiful, Requiem For a Dream has one of the best score's ever made.

Yep the potential is there to be train wreck, but hopefully aronofsky can pull it off.

^ Mila Kunis is probably the hottest girl in Hollywood.

I heard about this movie a few days back; I think it was Kunis on some show saying how she had to actually learn ballet to play the part. Looks good.

Mila Kunis is maybe great looking but acting wise Natalie Portman wins by huge margin. The film looks great, now i am really looking forward to it as the director has yet to make a failure.... Just watch Closer and Natalie Portman looks sexy as hell in it.

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.
