Oh really? Beyond was destined to get a mixed response from critics, given the experimental nature of the game.

Other than Naughty Dog, there's Sony Santa Monica (the team that made Ascension isn't their primary one), Sucker Punch, Guerrilla Games, Polyphony Digital, all of which have delivered this gen. So, really, let's not go there.

A metascore of 72 should be right up your alley, though. Remember your beloved Arma 3?

Also, the search function isn't working so I can't fetch your post from another thread, but isn't Gamespot the only critic you trust? They gave Beyond a 9/10.

Well you are trying really hard to make Guerilla Games a legendary developer in these forums but we all know they are more like your average developers which make second tier FPS shooters. I mean KZ3 is like 84 on meta and agar kisi ko PS3 aur XBOX 360 pe Call of Duty se fursat ho tu yeh games bhe khel letay hain, time pass. Nothing out of the ordinary. Free2Play experience was designed to lure more crowds. Ofcourse you say that it is just a DEMO.

Final nail-in-the-coffin. This game isn't even worth a rental! 2010's most disappointing and overrated game for sure.

An 84 is a respectable score, which is more than I can say for plenty of your beloved PC-only games. And, in case you didn't notice, KZ2 scored in the 90s. Even today, there are plenty of people playing KZ3. You'd have known if you'd actually have played it. lol

Free2Play experience was designed to lure more crowds. Ofcourse you say that it is just a DEMO.

And that's exactly what it is; a multiplayer demo. Unlike actual free2play games, there's a level cap.

Heck, even GOW Ascension is at 80. These are all still great games. Not amazing, perhaps, but worthy exclusive (unlike Arma 3 lol).

I wonder what your definition of a top-tier shooter is. With the exception of Bioshock Infinite (which I wouldn't exactly term as a traditional FPS), I doubt there's been any shooter that has managed to cross that 90 meta threshold in the past few years. Even the mighty Halo 4 fell short of the mark.

My KZ3 playtime would probably seem infinitesimal in comparison to the hours I've spent playing COD. Two guesses as to which one I'd prefer to play over the other.

I get it, its last big PS3 exclusive so there are bound to be stuff like 10/10 to keep the userbase happy going into E3 and maintaining a SONY friendly posture.

I dont think this discussion is about me Yeah I said I prefer gamespot reviews done by Kevin VanOrd. That is because I find him to be a person who share same gaming interests like me. There are few places through which I make my decision to buy or pirate

Top tier shooter with respect to number of entries in series,how many players playing and having a decent multiplayer component. Bioshock is something else entirely. Yes HALO 4 has fallen short on XBL charts aswell.

Yeah, I do turn to Metacritic before deciding whether I should get a game. As for GT5, it was only a disappointment compared to the expectations people had from it. Regardless of that, it's still a great game with a great metascore.

From what I hear, the main problem with the game is the gameplay. The story's chronology seems to be confusing, but I don't think I'll have a problem with that.

I guess some of them just didn't voice their opinions or were otherwise occupied.

The gameplay (or lack thereof) was the main problem in the demo. First off, the introduction of slo-mo transitions as a replacement for QTEs. Terrible idea. Imagine this, you're in the midst of a fast-paced action scene and the game goes into slow motion every time you need to make a decision. It's insulting as a gamer to have to play through some of these segments. Even playing with Aiden, the other soul, is a shallow experience. You're supposed to be this ethereal entity that can pass through walls and bend the laws of physics but you don't have any real freedom do you? Only certain walls can be passed through, only certain individuals can be interacted with.
