dude they haven't released the mantle driver yet, new drivers coming out in few hours 14.1 beta.

I was talking about the new nvidia update drivers - i am on nvidia for now-- though with new patch i would be on mantle with the drivers cant wait to use them .

after updating to the new mantle patch..whenever i run battlefield 4 it comes up giving me an error..i updated my amd drivers to 13.12 but still im getting this error



any help would be appreciated..

you mean the one that came in the last day or two? With mantle? How much performance increase did you see? I havent noticed any
Firestrike score actually went down.

Intermittent stuttering or stability issues may occur when utilizing Mantle with AMD CrossFire technology in BattleField 4

It has CF issues.So CF user cannot use Mantle at the moment.

The Avenger dont use Mantle it will lower ur Image Quality.

though i have updated / drivers etc - personally i dont know what the fuss is all about even ---though u can not use mantle if you want to --u have the option there -

wasnt playing much because of technical issues

But after this recent patch and driver update I'll be playing more.

Please first make a backup copy of your registry as described here: Back up the registry - Microsoft Windows Help

Next check out these steps below:

1. Log out and fully exit Origin
2. Open your Registry Editor - Type in regedit on the Start Menu Search field and press Enter
3. Navigate through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > EA Games > Battlefield 4
4. Check if there is a folder named Xpack1 under Battlefield 4
If YES -> Click on Xpack1, on the right pane check if there is a string named Installed, the Value data should be True
If NO - right-click on Battlefield 4 > New > Key
- a new folder will be created, name it Xpack1
- right-click on Xpack1 > New > String Value > name it Installed
- on the right-pane, double-click on Installed, set Value Data to True
5. Exit Registry Editor
6. Log in to Origin and Join China Rising Maps

Missing XP Boosts

​I have unlocked TONS of XP Boosts... they are all GONE apparently or not showing up.

As part of their Battlefield 4 player appreciation month, DICE has announced the very first community mission for February. The community mission tasks all players to collectively grab 10 million dog dags with knife kills. All platforms are included in the mission and all knife kills are counted.


The Battlefield 4 community mission runs from February 5th to February 11th. If players manage to reach the goal, all participating players will receive a gold Battlepack. Which is an odd prize, since all players will be getting free Battlepacks every single day in February.


While it’s great to have some community challenges like these, we honestly expected something more in terms of rewards. For example, back in 2009 with Battlefield 1943, DICE had a community challenge where players were tasked to reach 43 million kills, where after a brand new map was unlocked.

one thing which i notice is playing on golmud france server is much easier then on GE server ! maybe cuz france one has a good team support !
