Ati xfx 5670 heat issue

My ati 5670 card is getting very heated at idle its at 63c and in load it works at 96 -97 should i worry about it or its normal.I have this casing and fan installed like the one in the picture at the back and when i am playing games like massefect 2 and mwf2 it hardly playes for 10 -20 minutes and then games crashes giving blue screen error this is because of the heat issue? put some xtra fan in the cpu..........................xfx gpu r crapy.............................clean ur gpu with blower

These temps are very high, at load temperature should be around <70

Increase the fan speed while gaming.
Use MSI afterburner or EVGA precision tool for that.

I have increased fan speed to 100% and while running furmark its temperature is 94-95 its still very high

Its either dust or gpu fault.

your gpu is faulty...if its under warranty then claim it

Yeah man try cleaning it. Or try some arranging your case fans in a more efficient manner. Else what faheemakber18 says

Yeah its under warranty what should i tell them? that my gpu is getting heated up i have also over clocked it once will it affect warranty

core 2 duo 2.4 @6600
ati xfx 5670 512mb
500watt psu
and mobo is gigabyte intel 965

temps are very high

I m using xfx5770 and i think xfx is not bad in ATI 5 series.....
So claim it asap.

XFX....... isn't a bad company... its one of my favourite... check the dust in the fan... remove the fan clean the base area apply new thermal paste....... And u'll be back again.......

I have seen HIS 5670 iceQ 4 temps they did not crossed 75 during benchmark so either your GPU is faulty or it is not receiving enough air. I would recommend claiming it .

I think not but if you want to buy another gpu then it will work just tell the guy (Saqib) there that you want to upgrade your gpu he will deduct some money and then u pay more to buy another gpu BTW who told u to go for xfx? HIS was also present there ..

which 500w is this ? please check the back of your psu and note the +12v rating and check how much A(ampere) on +!2v rail

Before getting into the hassle of upgrading/claiming warranty, do the following.

First, what are your ambient room temps?
Have you properly cleaned the GPU with a blower?
Reseated the heatsink/fan?
What is your air flow in casing like?
