MULTI Assassin's Creed III - Gamescom 2012: Naval Warfare trailer + Screenshots

During an earnings call today, Ubisoft revealed that Assassin's Creed III will be released in October.

According to CEO Yves Guillemot, the game will hit stores on October 30th. Guillemot revealed that the game has been in development for three years and that "what we have seen is just fabulous."

In development for three years sounds good. They better nail this or they are in deep shit!

5 games in a span of 5 years. Ubisoft deserves a medal for milking a franchise so profusely.

Little to no improvements in the game and they keep pumping them out.

I passed on the boring expansions. Hopefully this will be the leap that ACII was to AC.

Jazzy is right...AC deserves 3 part but as for Modern Warfare that was totally stupid and useless, instead they would have worked more hard to make the sequel of Black Ops which was of course the bestes part ever, and would also get great reviews about that , rather than playing the worst part ever MW3 of course. As of this moment I am also a little bit anxious what story will they put in AC III when in the last part all was kinda sorted out.

Go and read the AC Storyline first. -_- Each number corresponds to an assasin so AC1= Altair AC2= Ezio's story and ACIII will feature a new story, as for why we need AC3:

1) AC2, brotherhood and revelations endings. Watch them again and the truth files.

Besides, I don't see why there is a need to complain about a game a year, Alexander Amancio clearly said that several studies develop the AC franchise so the actual deveopment time is much longer, they just develop more resources to it and considering how much of an improvement AC2 was over AC1 and how good Revelatons and Brotherhood were AS MERE EXPANSION packs, AC3 should be freakin awesome.

1) Combat has improved alot since AC1, Assasins creed has easily the best sword based combat system of any game.
2) Graphics have improved, though not by much.
3) The enviroments improved, Brotherhood is a great example for that.
4) The story is not boring one bit, it improves as you go on and you don't get the feeling its overly dramatic or anything.
5) Ezio's story was awesome, and there is quite alot of meaning to it (for those that actually concentrate on the story, so none of you people in this thread obviously )

Thats good enough I think for a game as unique in style as AC1 (even those that didnt like it due to its MANY flaws agreed it was completely new).

And you compare all this to Call of duty, which in no way whatsoever has brought ANYTHING new to the FPS genre whatsoever ?
