Assassin’s Creed Rogue Trailer - World Premiere Cinematic Trailer

September Cover Revealed – Assassin's Creed Rogue And Unity

Spoiler: show

Update: Assassin's Creed: Rogue has been confirmed, with new details also revealed.

You'll play Shay Patrick Cormac, a Templar tasked with thinning the Assassin's ranks. As expected, you'll be sailing around the Northern Atlantic Ocean in a ship called the Morrigan, as well as exploring New York and the Appalachian River Valley.

Intriguingly, Cormac's story will apparently tie into the Kenway family saga that started in Assassin's Creed 3 before continuing in Black Flag, though it'll also tie into the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity. The game takes place against a backdrop of The Seven Years' War, which has direct ties to the French Revolution.

Assassin's Creed Rogue is being worked on by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios. A worldwide release date of November 11 has also been confirmed.

well .. the best part about this game's announcement so far is that its the end of the kenway trilogy, and you'll be forced to kill some PLAYABLE characters from the AC3 Universe (i-e characters you've played with before). (which is pretty fucking good :p cause that universe sucked).

here's a ton of details.

Story
-The game is set between 1752-1761
-The game represents the end the Kenway trilogy and will show the near eradication of the colonial assassins. It also ties into Unity in the final moments of the game.
-Haytham Kenway confirmed to make an appearance and play a role in the story
-You play as an assassin turned assassin hunter named Shay Patrick Cormac
-Shay starts out as a brash young assassin who doesn't take his job series, not because he doesn't believe the cause, but because he isn't wise
-You will be an assassin until a pivotal moment in the game causes Shay to turn sides. According to gameinformer it happens around 1754
-The game takes place during the seven years war

Naval Gameplay<---the thing everyone wants to know about.
-Your ship is named Morrigan
1.It's smaller than the Jackdaw for better navigation in smaller spaces and to help avoid glaciers.
-Thanks to Templar pockets Morrigan has access to experimental weapons, such as the puckle guns, prototype machine guns that can tear enemy ships up in seconds
-Shay's crew can drop and ignite a trail of burning oil. Which can prevent ships from pursuing the player
-Icebergs
1.Icebergs can damage the player's ship
2.Icebergs can be used as cover from enemy fire.
3.Icebergs can be destroyed, which will create ripple waves that disrupt enemy ships
-Assassins can now board your ship instead of the other way around after their defeat you can choose what to do with their ship and crew like in Black Flag
-The "Kenways Fleet" and trade route missions make a welcome return
-With upgrades the player can go through ice sheets to access caves and other hidden areas

General Gameplay Changes and Additions
-Eagle vision is now enhanced, a compass ring will now appear around the player, objectives will be marked, and the ring will turn red to indicate serious threats
-Shay is equipped with an experimental air rifle
1.It can silently shoot out firecrackers, which can be used to distract enemies
2.It's also equipped with a grenade launcher which can shoot out lethal shrapnel grenades, sleeping gas, or berserker gas
-The player will hear whispers when assassins are nearby
-Assassins can air assassinate the player, hide in bushes, and use cover and will hunt the player during the game
-New York has been redesigned to allow for faster and more interesting navigation
-Shay can use new obstacles in the environment to his advantage
1.Barrels carrying lethal poison gas can be punctured with the air rifle to spread a cloud of poison gas into large areas
-Shay can equip a bandana to avoid taking damage from poison gas

Hunting
-Narwhals can be hunted while at sea
-Polar bears are also confirmed

Locations
-The Appalachian River Valley
-A redesigned New York
-The arctic North Atlantic Ocean

Confirmed Side Missions
-Assassin Interception: the player can go to the assassin's iconic pigeon coops to read assassination contracts, by reading these, he can prevent the assassination of his allies by stopping the would be killer
-Templar Control: the player can take over districts like an assassin would, the difference being that he is both improving and worsening the lives of civilians instead of liberating them

General Info
-Assassin's Creed Rogue will release on Nov.11 for 360/ps3
-It is Singleplayer only
-This is the end of the loose Kenway Trilogy, expect major characters from AC4 and AC3 to make an appearance
-This game is being developed mainly by Ubisoft Sofia, the main team behind Assassin's Creed Liberation.

Bonus

Rogue is previous-gen exclusive whereas Unity is exclusive to the new-gen and PC.

This appears to be a race between Activision and Ubisoft to see who churns out more new titles of the same franchise every year. To me, Assassin's Creed ended with Revelations.
A :finger: from my side to the sequels.

[h=2]Assassin's Creed Rogue, Far Cry 4 playable in Ubisoft's Gamescom lineup[/h]

Gamescom attendees will have the chance to play the first public demos of Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Rogue and more at this year's show, Ubisoft announced today.

Assassin's Creed Rogue was confirmed by Ubisoft yesterday, following a leak, as the next entry in the series for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game is set during the mid-18th century and follows a templar named Shay Patrick Cormac as he hunts down assassins.

In addition to playable demos, Ubisoft will showcase titles such as Tom Clancy's The Division, Assassin's Creed Unity and Just Dance Now at their booth in Hall 6. Several new, unannounced titles for PC, mobile and digital channels will also be present. Community activities are planned during the event, including giveaways and photo opportunities, and cosplay is encouraged.

Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 13 - 17, where Polygon will be reporting on-site. For more on Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4and The Division, check out our in-depth previews from E3 2014.

I dont even know wtf is going in Assassins creed universe...This generation is about playing as the villain (though who's the villain in AC is still up in the air)

But you knw what, I am excited about AC after a long time..Finally they have stopped milking the franchise from one viewpoint....now BOOOM we will milk it from opposite pov.

What I am afraid of is that this will turn out to be just another AC title with different clothes on.. :crying:

- - - Updated - - -

PLAYABLE characters from the AC3 Universe (i-e characters you've played with before).
since all the characters were in a different setting are we going back, through jumping in different era and time via Animus, to kill them?

So essentially, previous-gen owners will be treated to a closure of the pirate Assassin's story from Black Flag and get a flavour of the events leading to Unity. But they won't be able to play AC:Unity.

New-gen owners will not be treated to a closure of the pirate Assassin's story from Black Flag and will not get a flavour of the events leading to Unity. As they won't be able to play AC:Rogue.

I haven't played Black Flag, nor its prequel. Didn't like what I saw and it doesn't help that I've also been suffering from an acute case of Assassin's Greed overload.
My history with Assassin's Creed:

AC - Interesting next gen game, got boring and repetitive...barely stuck in to play it till the end.
AC2 - One of my favorite games of last gen. It was just phenomenal.
AC2: Brotherhood - My favorite of the whole series. I loved the training and build up, disappointed with the climax but my favorite game.
AC2: Revelations - Same old same old...got boring real fast and just played it for the story.
AC3: Worst of the series. Never managed it to play it till even the half way.
AC4: The whole AC games coming together into a wonderfully crafted awesome game. The story was decent too, a genuine reboot to the plot and I absolutely loved it. The pirate theme only helped me like it even more.

So I'd recommend Black Flag to even the haters of AC. I suggest you give it a shot.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
