All VPNs to be blocked, Notified by PTA

PTA has notified to block all unregistered Virtual Private Networks in Pakistan after 25th of this month.

ok I got it. Its for organizations. So sindh police will have to register the vpn. We havnt got any official notice for this.

Lol kya kia ja sakta hai.

All VPNs/tunneling protocols = grey traffic. Registered ones will be of workplaces or individuals or banks that make use of VPN to connect to office network etc.

I believe it's a stand to try and stop all the illegal browsing such as pornography. Yahan tak tou I support it. Lekn then it starts to bother people who use VPNs for other stuff and starts to piss me off.

IMO after the introduction of 3G services the so called grey traffic will go down automatically as people will start shifting to services like skype and viber to make calls.

Its now 100% confirmed that they don't know how to do their job properly, and will block every service if they have to, all in the name of Grey Traffic.

Sorry guys i thought it was something related to free VPNs that are used commercially. Actually this is for private Networks.

I don't believe they can block every possible paid vpn.
One possibility is to just block all the ports used by pptp/openvpn protocol and make a whitelist to allow only specified vpn servers. But I highly doubt it if its possible at all or pta is capable of that (They can't even freakin block blasphemous videos on youtube without having to ban the whole site).

I will believe it when I see it done.

I am using bucklor ! it's best free vpn out there even better then avast secure line !
