Not too long ago, we told you that cracking group 3DM had decided to give up on cracking games for a year – in an effort, they say, to test the real world effects on sales.
According to the group, they were going to go on a year-long hiatus.
“Starting at the Chinese New Year [February 8], 3DM will not crack any single-player games. We’ll take a look at the situation in a year’s time to see if genuine sales have grown. Cracks by overseas warez groups will still get posted on the [3DM] forum, and we will actively deal with these.”

That led many to believe that the group had given up, and that cracking Denuvo was just too hard a task for them. That’s apparently just the sort of impetus the group needed – because they’ve just suggested they’ve managed to bypass the anti-tampering software (via Torrentfreak).
“3DM will soon announce that we have a solution to the latest Denuvo encryption used on games including ‘FIFA 16’, ‘Just Cause 3’, and ‘Tomb Raider: The Rise. We made this announcement because a lot of players believe we have abandoned cracking due to technical problems, but we will prove it is not the case. We have not yet been stumped”.

Denuvo’s become a favoured bit of DRM Anti-tampering software for publishers of later, thanks to it being notoriously hard to bypass. We’ll wait to see if 3DM has managed to make Denuvo redundant – or if it’ll just spur on the sort of cat and mouse games we’ve seen in the past.

This"Solution" is Old news. After this BirdSister of 3DM deleted this comment and till now there is complete silence. Maybe they wanted traffic/Attention on their website fact is Denuvo is very hard to crack and previous denuvo releases were a

glitch in the system latest games Just cause 3 and ROTTR used denuvo v4 and v5 which are glitch proof till now so no Denuvo cracks we have to wait more..

Personally if this keeps up i gonna sale my PC and buy PS4 and start trade or rent games which is cheaper alternate.

When Denuvo is cracked, it will be BIG news, it will not be a quiet release. and like mad max, after cracking that, they sealed up that back door, I think after all games have been released this year ( good titles), Then 3dm will release cracks for all the titles, so no back door can be shut, every month a game comes out. otherwise the Devs will surely get the crack of 3dm's and try to shut it down with another update, until 3DM catch's up on this new protection( right tools to deal with 64bit encryption),WE WAIT. like the Dev's have even said this protection is not uncrack able, So there is a way to crack it, it will just take more time at this stage.

Piracy is stealing. End of Story.
Is stealing okey? No.
yeah but developers have to at least provide demo of games, so gamers could able to decide that either to buy it or not, like EA and now even ubisoft did (the division beta). And its a major reason that people move towards piracy as they don't know what is game about, how could they invest there money in it without experiencing it.

Yeah rest assure that its some one hardwork and if we do piracy we actuality steal it, no argument about it.

I am sorry but I have to disagree ..we all know thats not true..No one pirates a game to play it, end it and then say "oh..wait here take my money"...or download 25GB of data and then play the game, stop playing after one or two missions and say "I wont play anymore because its not right" maybe 10-15%..90-85% steal it.

Also nearly alll major releases from the days of ps3 has had demos ...like proper demos that you can download and play and get a feel.
"Lets play" (which I am slightly against aswell), video/written reviews, previews, trailers, etc all give a decent sense of what the game is aswell...So I would argue against this point.

Both steam and origin have some form of a refund system. you can ask for a refund on steam if your playtime < 2hours and origin has a no questions asked refund policy. If you dont like a game, return it.
OR you can watch one of the many lets play videos on youtube, subscribe to giantbomb, total biscuit etc.

Just let it be there.
Its just how the world should work.

It will be interesting to see how this effectively increases sales, or not.

In my opinion, if companies stop shitty practices like releasing poorly optimized or unfinished games, removing content so they can sell it back as pricey DLC and actually care about PC gamers, it would actually help more in increasing their sales instead of denuvo or other protection.

Its not entirely clear in what case Steam will start considering the frequency of refunds as abusing the system. And Origin refunds only apply to games published by EA.

That is not the question. Teens not able to afford doesn't effect the legality of piracy.
People, like me, earn and have jobs due to people spending money on software
I am not questioning the legality i am saying that not all can afford legal games specially in third world country like Pakistan. Here i want to point

to out the hypocrite policies of companies like steam/origin who would gladly offer cheap games in india but in pak price is a firm 60$

I have never had any trouble getting steam refunds (i have >1000 games on steam). Origin is only needed to purchase EA games as (nearly) all others are on steam. I really dont see a problem with either.

Uh. No. Games are not cheap, period. 60US$ is not cheap for people abroad too ... remember, this region isn't even close to being a substantial market, OR create an impact due to piracy. People abroad pirate, hack, crack and all. Not us.

Studios spend millions, and do deserve payment for their efforts.

We are just used to cheap shit and don't give value to things. Reason why we are in shambles.

Karachi.
New graduates earn at most $350-400 a month in Pakistan. Can't justify spending $60 of that on games. India recently had a few games (like ROTTR) for $12. If games were subsidized here like they are in India or Ukraine, then we'd see a lot more people buying legit games.
